It's an awesome autocamp! Highly recommend the Airstream vans, they are fabulous. The main hangout room was spectacular ... wanted to hang there for ages. So comfortable with a fabulous contemporary vibe. The vans were fabulous as well. Loved the individual fire to cook on.

I am not fond that it was non refundable after I bought it. I come from Sacramento and if it snows I would not be able to come as i cant out chains on my car.. Thankfully it did not and all was well. But my friend canceled on me for that reason. Also the water stopped working overnight. We couldn't shower or wash our hands and we were off to Yosemite in the morning so that was not convenient. I get things happen though. But they just said sorry maintenance is fixing it. It would of been nice for a partial refund since I stayed in a cabin a night for a short period of time and we couldn't even shower or wash our hands and had to leave.

Property was such a great deal! The front desk agent was welcoming and kind, the bedding was nice, they had a cozy extra blanket, plenty of towels, tub mat to avoid slipping, the in room appliances were so convenient- it was really all the small touches they included in the room to ensure convenience and comfort that made me wish I was in town longer.

Everything at this place is on point. Staff is super friendly and kind. Facility is clean and well maintained. Location is safe and easy to find. View is amazing.
Small town about an hour out of Yosemite. We didn't leave our cabin except to drive up to Yosemite so we didn't really experience the town. Hadn't taken this route into Yosemite before so was delighted to find the drive from Midpines into the valley to be really beautiful.

Midpines is a small town and you have to travel far to get into town for restaurants and gas. However, it is close to yosemite and there are lots of options for hotels. Autocamp just opened so that may bring more business to this little town.
There is a brewery with very friendly staff called 1850. The food is fine and the beers are good but the staff is great.
There is also Mariposa Coffee Co. the coffee is great and the owner has a lot of personality... The storefront itself is very fun and coffee themed. They also have great merch.

If you like to be out in nature.
If you like to be out in nature. Midpines is definatly a good place to go. Nearest small town was 7 miles away from where I stayed. So close but not too close. I stayed at the Bug Rustic Mountain Resort. If you are looking for a quiet but charming and nice place to stay, this is the place for you. But a couple things to be aware of. 1, if using google gps for directions. As you get close to your destination, it'll tell you to take Colorado road. Do not take that road! As the gps will end up taking you down a really bad dirt road. And it will not take you to the property! If taking California 140 west heading towards Yosemite. Once you see the turn for Colorado Rd. Just keep going straight for about a mile or so. You'll see the sign on the left for the resort. 2, parking for the resort is small. So as night comes and more people start arriving. If you leave and come back. You'll more than likely have to park at the very top parking lot. And while it is a realtively short walk back to the main area. It is a steep walk to return to your vehicle. So I'd suggest just staying put after around 7pm if you wish to retain your spot. But overall this place is great!

There is no toilet, no sink, and to go to the toilet, you have to drive and go to the motel. Do you get paid for rent? If I knew it was like this, I would never go. The motel tells me to park in the car and go up the mountain when the end is up.

Great location to visit Yosemite, facilities are good and clean!
It is great to have such a hostel around Yosemite, where you find mainly expensive hotels.
It seems also well managed (at the first evening there was an issue with the aircon, which was quickly solved the next day).
The staff of the hotel its the best, everyone treat us wonderful, were very helpfull and warm.
The tents were great, with a door and lock to save our luggage.
Bathrooms were clean and confortable.
The Bar was amazing, with home Cooking options to dinner and lunch.
