Located on Summit Lake just 8 miles from the Seward/Sterling highway junction, this Moose Pass lodge provides a daily, made-to-order breakfast. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main lodge.

As we were just staying for one night we opted for an historic room (I think that was its name). We’d stayed before in a lakeshore cabin & had loved it. The standard room was far from standard - very spacious & well appointed. Big bathroom but also a separate vanity area. Breakfast was very good. The main lodge / restaurant area is very nice . The views of the lake from the shore are so beautiful. Can spend a very easy hour or two just sitting & absorbing the tranquility!

We liked staying in a cabin.

We liked staying in a cabin. It was very roomy and we liked the electric fireplace. My daughter liked the loft. It was close enough to the road but still felt remote. No TV, but it had a DVD player?? Shower felt like an RV shower. Breakfast was underwhelming.

Moose pass is a great place to stay if you want to be away...

Moose pass is a great place to stay if you want to be away from the touristy spots. It is pretty and quiet. You will want to get groceries and gas before heading there though, other than a burger place and an expensive convenience store, there isn't much there. It is about 30 minutes to Seward, which was fine for us.
