It has everything you need, it's clean for a rustic place in the middle of nowhere, and it's 25 min from the volcano. You don't find that for $45.

We loved listening to the forest sounds at night, and using the open-air shower in the morning. The light path at night was very useful.

We liked that it was inbetween Hilo and Volcano park. Great place to crash for a night. The kitchen was stocked with appliances and utensils, and the whole place had all the things we needed.

The property was just lovely, we really enjoyed all aspects of it. The night sounds were amazing to fall asleep to and the gentle rain in the mornings was also enjoyed. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of our host, Doug, as he was very pleasant and helpful. The property has been well thought out and all of our needs were met or exceeded.

The location is perfect for visiting the Volcano Park. The property decor is unique and fits the rain forest theme. You can hear birds. King bed was comfortable. Host was very helpful when we asked a question. Directions were clear. Check out time of 11AM was generous.

If you are looking for a fancy hotel room, this might not be your place. If you are looking for a Acofortabe place to stay and get a night's sleep so you can go explore what Hawaii has to offer then this is a good option to put a little more money in the exploring budget.

Check what else is available against price.
Check what else is available against price. This is basic camping and certainly not in a fruit rain forest. We were ok with it after we adjusted our concept of what it was. Camping in a room that is basically a tent with running water and a toilet. If that is ok then this will suit.

Update- I just found the message on booking.com telling me how to get to the resort and what to do. It was accurate. I retract the statement that I never received my email, it was a message on booking.com that I didn’t see or receive till after my visit. Otherwise it was a nice rustic resort in the rainforest. Basic but quiet. Just don’t stop at that first green zombie house on the right!!!

The nature on big island is beautiful and the accommodation is far off the road: it is quiet except for bugs and birds at night. The stars are amazing.
The volcano national park was absolutely amazing. I loved my stay in Big island.

I loved this place.
I loved this place. It was very private, nice sized kitchen and bedroom. Perfect for anyone who would like to spend a few days exploring the Volcanoes National Park. It's a little far from everything else, but it worked great for us as we spent 2 days exploring the national park and 2 days enjoying the sites and beaches of Hilo.

Location, close to Hilo and the volcano as well as many beaches. Off the beaten path, beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the property. Saw local wildlife on the drive in and out of the property. Accommodations were what I expected at the price. We chose to spend our money seeing Hawaii instead of a hotel room. The room was clean and comfortable. Hot water for a shower and a place to make coffee in the morning. All we needed.
Aloha spirit. Private beautiful, safe property. Best location for exploring area. Mountain View(early morning bakery next to hand poured coffee house), Volcano National Park(entrance fee good for one week), Pahoa(Sunday farmers/craft market and Puna District. Amazingly strong internet connection if your a remote worker.
The place is lovely and spacious for at least 4 people to stay. It has all kinds of amenities even including purified drinking water and laundry detergent packets. Moreover, we left a power adapter at check out. The management helped us to find it and left it at the gate for us to pick it up.
I can’t imagine a better hotel stay honestly - from the gorgeous property to incredible breakfasts and kind, helpful hosts. Everything was so considered and wonderful. My husband and I feel lucky we found Volcano Eco Resorts, an amazing final leg of our honeymoon.
The location for exploration of Volcano National Park was very good. There were limited restaurants in the area for breakfast and supper. The cabin was clean but very small.
