quiet and isolated - but that is what I wanted. breakfast was excellent each morning. and the staff was outstanding - extremely helpful and well-trained. the furnishings were a little dated but not a big deal. also is very close to the Metra station if you want to take a trip downtown.

    I brought my swim trunks hoping to do a few laps, only to...

    I brought my swim trunks hoping to do a few laps, only to find out the pool was closed for remodeling for two weeks. It's not fair that we were not notified and could have made different arrangements to stay somewhere else. We should get some kind of refund. We shortened our stay by a night. Hilton has done nothing to offer any kind of refund or coupon. They will need to earn my business before I ever stay at a Hilton!!

    Arrived at 10pm, after an 18h trip from Europe, to discover that, despite a confirmed booking, the hotel was actually shut down (I don't even want to know for what). Took over 2 hours of expensive phone calls with booking.com's customer support in the UK to get us into another similar hotel, at nearly double the price. They promised a refund for the difference. Let's see if we actually get it.
