Oglesby is a pleasant small town, only a 10 - 15 minute drive from Starved Rock State Park. Discovered 2 nice places to eat; the first is called the Root Beer Stand, with the old time outdoor park and order car corrals with speakers. The food is brought out to your car and they mafe their own INCREDIBLE root beer and serve good food. The second place is CortiLeno's, a bar and grill. My wife and I LOVE pizza and have had pizza from hundreds of places throughout the country and CortiLeno's is among the BEST!Guest review byDannyUnited States - Review score

You are close about 10 minutes from all the state parks that are full of activities. Also we visited a local restaurant (Cindy's on 39) we were very pleased with the fresh cooked meals. Overall it is a quaint little town.Guest review byDavid - Review score
