I reserved a superior suite, because I had 6 people in my party. When I got there, they said there were no more suites left and we would have to pay normal price for 2 rooms. There was no discount offered for the inconvenience this caused us. Money was an issue for some of us, that is why we decided to split a suite in the first place. We ended up cramming into one room with 2 beds and a roll away. Again, no discount was offered for our inconvenience, or anything else. I booked this a week ahead and expected a suite when I got there, but there wasn't one. I was very irritated and upset. I will be putting a bad reviewGuest review byJewell - Review score8.0

The facility is great, very clean and the room is spacious and according to my expectations. I always find Best Western where I go to any location same very standard , spacious, and very clean. We had requested a roll in shower and handicapped accessible bathroom and received an email stating that was no problem. When we checked in, they said they had no rooms with these requests. The bathroom could barely fit a walker in and had no bars anywhere in the bathroom or shower. The shower was a step in shower but was not clean. The toilet was so low to the floor and had no bars. It had a high piercing squeal everytime you flushed it which didn't stop until the tank was full. There were ants in the shower floor and the entire bathroom floor. We complained to the management and they said maintenance would come to take care of the ants and toilet. There was also a sewer smell in the bathroom every tim you ran the water. Nothing was fixed. The staff were very friendly, Breakfast foods were very good and the person who was taking care of that area did a great job in refilling any items as they were used. I have stayed at this Hampton Inn more than once visiting family who live in the area. Hampton Inn is my preferred choice in any state I've traveled. Okemos has all restaurants and shopping within 5 to 15 minute drive. Lots of traffic around area but felt secluded from hwy noise and had beautiful homes and a couple of horse farms to see while driving around. The area where this hotel is has many food place within walking distance ...close to the freeway and shopping is close too. Good mall and miejers . there is public transportation but not in that part of okemos close to lansing proper very quiteGuest review byAnonymous
