Nicely decorated room. Clean. A lot of parking. Easy communication with hotel manager. On the way to Grand Canyon South Rim. Good spots to eat nearby.
Great time at Delgadillo's Barber Shop. Angel's son-in-law greeted us when we walked in, and spent a good amount of time talking about Angel and showing us around. Yes, we spent plenty on souvenirs too.
The whole town is friendly. The Black Cat is a dive bar with loud music, but friendly people. The woman at Seligman Grocery had a nice chat with us about traveling across country back in the day. Our waitress at Westside Lilo's told us about her amazing father Terry McCann who was a gold medalist in wrestling for the USA in 1960. She hailed from Arlington Heights, so like us, from a Chicago suburb.
And the owner of the Aztec motel was so nice. He's from Holland of all places.

A small but inviting town.
A small but inviting town. Great people and great restaurants. I could only stay a day on my way back home, but I wish I could've stayed longer to try all the restaurants and visit all the shops the town has to offer. I also wish I could've had more time to explore the area around the town, like Route 66 and enjoy the multitude of stars visible at night.

A small 1 street town with no specific attraction in it, but potentially a good location for people transiting through on the old 66 route or going to attractions within a few miles of it. There are a few motels and a couple of restaurants that we saw that offer basic American food.

Cool town, just a short overnight this trip.
Cool town, just a short overnight this trip. I came through on a photography workshop two years prior... Canyon Lodge was nice, but opted for Historic Rt.66 Motel this trip.
Lots to photograph here, tons of history. Buffalo burger at the Roadkill Cafe ain't too bad either, just be sure to have a Grand Canyon Pilsner chaser.

Great slice of historic Route 66 that has gotten even better since I was there last in 1999. Thanks to Angel Degadillo for his work on preserving, restoring, and promoting Seligman and other historic Route 66 towns.

The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly!
The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly! It was late and we had been driving for 14 hrs on our trip home to Indiana from California. It was nice to have a friendly, helpful host! Very comfy beds and pillows and and nice sized room. Very clean as well. Very affordable on a budget. It definitely changed my outlook on motels vs hotels. It was actually nicer and cleaner than a couple of the popular named hotels that we stayed at on our trip! We would definitely stay there again!

A very charming hotel, the room looked old but without a doubt nice. Definitely had history, kinda felt a "haunting though nice" feeling (hard to explain).
People were very nice there.
If I ever go through this part of Arizona, I will book there again, without a question.
The rooms were very big and the beds were extra comfortable. The Motel is just by the road (Route 66 - Seligman, just in front the original Route 66 gift shop). Sebastian is just so nice and welcoming, we wish we would have stayed longer! There is breakfast included.
