Tomahawk – 27 hotels and places to stay

AmericInn by Wyndham Tomahawk is located in Tomahawk and features a bar. Featuring a fitness center, the 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom.

Very friendly, accommodating staff. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The lobby/breakfast area was very nice. Unfortunately, we did not use the pool or hot tub, so I can not comment on those. The breakfast offered was the usual. It was well stocked and good.

Very clear instructions on how to enter the property, and the whole interior appeared to be newly renovated. We only stayed one night passing through but would stay here again.

Opening onto a patio with lake views, the spacious vacation home consists of 4 bedrooms.

The location and surrounding area was exactly what I was looking for: quiet, serene, lots of trees, on a lake, secluded. This was the perfect getaway from living in the city.

We will never return, as Tomahwk holds the saddest time of our lives! To watch are son slowly die, for a year and a half, and then to have to go thoughthe court system to fight with his mother-in-law over things, what he wanted us to do, was beyond what any parent should have to do

I didn't spend too much time in town, but we did eat at the Tilted Loon for dinner and across the street at the windmill ice cream place. My son ordered one scoop of ice cream and it was as big as his head and only $4! We stayed in Tomahawk because we had to take a trip up to Eagle River and Rhinelander in the same day, so it was a perfect distance.

    Hotel is old but clean.

Hotel is old but clean. Mattresses were horrible and should be replaced. Stayed here before and thought they would have been upgraded by now. Breakfast is almost all carbs - need to add some protein for those that are watching carbs due to health concerns.

Boating and fishing paradise, yet still with a small town feel. It's an old, old city so the traffic patterns take some patience, as the place has grown a bit over the last 30 years. And 25mph means 25 mph! And it STILL has a Dog 'n Suds! Please continue to say no to fast food giants and Starbucks! There are several impoundments of the Wisconsin and Tomahawk rivers nearby, offering ample shore fishing access and boating options. There are plenty boat landings and parks for watercraft of all sizes. I used the small craft landing for my kayak on the west end of Lake Mohawksin. I shore-fished everywhere from Nokomis to Lake Alice and all the dams in between.
