This place was beautiful, immaculate, and the host was so nice. We saw moose outside on the property, got a time lapse video of the northern lights, and had a wonderful breakfast. It’s well worth staying here over a hotel!!!

Loved the view of Denali and the general setup of the lobby and surrounding area. It was very centrally located for us to participate in our first Oosik ski race, with the shuttle coming right to the parking lot. It was also a really great touch that they offer to let you know if the northern lights are expected to be out. We loved our stay!

Great space in the central yard to hang out with old friends and make new ones. We enjoyed the common space and comfortable seating as our group had reserved a couple of the homes on the property. Wished we had more time in the area. The interior is very nice and has great extras like the coffee (keurig) machine. The owners are lovely and took the time to ship me something I had left behind.

The only downside about staying in town in Takena is that you have to listen to the neighbors being somewhat loud and obnoxious. On our last stay, they were being quite loud until about 3:30 in the morning. So just don’t plan on getting really good sleep.
