The area is mostly shopping, offices, and housing. We ate at both the Olive Garden which was pretty quiet, good food and clean. The next night we ate at The Cheesecake Factory. The only plus factor about this hotel is the room which was clean, good sized and comfortable No drinking water was provided, which is very unusual for any hotel of this category. When asked at reception, I was told to get it from the beverage machine or fill up at the water dispenser in the Gym. Two things strike me as a lack of trust by the hotel management towards guests. I have never seen plates being handed out at the breakfast room and having to show a coupon is also not often practiced. Why is breakfast starting so late at 7.00 a.m.? We didn't get to see much, since the hotel refused us decent service because of my business partners ADA Medical Alert Service Dog. So we actually moved on and stayed in another city for the night. Tukwila is a great place to stay due to its location south of Seattle. If coming from the south, you exit before the long traffic jam entering Seattle and can time your trip to Seattle to avoid rush hour traffic. You can go south to Federal Way and Tacoma easily - or to our great Capital building in Olympia and unique downtown shops. It is also close to SeaTac airport. Staying the night in Tukwila is more peaceful than staying at a hotel on International Blvd in SeaTac and there is a great variety of restaurants.Guest review bySandraUnited States - Review score2.0
Dont stay there if you are handicapped.
Dont stay there if you are handicapped. Bring a toilet plunger so you are able to flush your toilet. I hope that helps as it still got worn out plungering the toilet and gave up and used the one in the lobby. You might also be offended by one of the male restaurant staff with his pants down below his butt. I thought his belt was missing but he dressed that way. The town is nice with lots of businesses and trails and accommodating spaces to eat a picnic. But I would avoid this hotel and stay at another one in the city. We purposely chose a hotel near the airport as this was the cheaper option The free shuttle was amazing. (Especially Jit and Solomon) They dropped us off at the mall or the light rail everyday and picked us back up free of charge. Therefore it only cost me 3 dollars to go to downtown.
