I would give this property 20 stars if I could. Where do I start? The owners, Tuan and Dung are truly special people, they truly made us feel like family. We were upgraded to their brand new hotel at the back of the property, The Wonderland Lodge. Beautiful rooms, excellent views, gorgeous landscaping, inviting pool (too bad it was chilly during our stay). The location is ideal, about a 13 minute walk to the town (or a 5 minute bike ride on one of the free to use bikes!). Breakfast was great. We had to check out early to leave for Halong Bay and a lovely snack pack was provided. We also loved the cinnamon tea that was provided every time we arrived back from an outing. In our 3 weeks in Vietnam we were lucky enough to stay in some very nice hotels, but my husband and I both agreed this one was the best! Do yourself a favor and stay here!

We loved our stay in Ninh Binh/Tam Coc and Le Clos. We only stayed for one night, but due to me having a cold, we extended our stay with a late checkout until 5pm before taking the night train further south. The staff were incredibly accommodating to move other reservations so we could keep our room and it made the whole experience very relaxing. Prior to arrival, it was also easy to communicate and discuss trip options and organise transport. The room itself was beautiful, with a great view over the pool and the village, very airy, sunny and comfy. We were quite tired on arrival, so we enjoyed the possibility to have dinner at the hotel - French and Vietnamese fusion cuisine, everyone in the restaurant, bar and reception was wonderful. The location allows for an easy walk to the main riverfront area and restaurants, the hotel offers a tour of the area and bikes. We had organised a tour separately, but on the next day we took bikes from the hotel and cycled through the rice field to a few nice outdoor cafes. Before taking our train south, we tried the Tam Coc main street -- there were many good food options, lively bars and little shops and pharmacies for necessities. We could have easily extended our stay for another day or two, the area was very peaceful with beautiful nature and great riverside cafes. Staying overnight, rather than just rushing back to Hanoi after a day trip offers a completely different outlook.

Excellent value for money. The room was new and clean. Two queen beds put together gave you a giant bed. The bathroom looks good as well. Toiletries include a razor, toothbrushes, cotton buds, a comb and shower caps. There is complimentary bottles of water, instant coffee and sweet tea in the room. Breakfast is excellent and included in the price. You can also rent a motorbike for 120k VND a day.

Amazing stay, host was very accommodating to our 5am check in and even let us leave our bags after check out so we could comfortably explore the town before leaving. Rooms were spacious, clean, and had full amenities. They were able to help us with laundry and even gave us good local recommendations for food and activities.

Nice rooms at a quiet location and they offer free bikes to ride around. Good breakfast that's taken on a terrace in nice scenery. You have all you need there. Friendly and helpful owner, too. I recommend.
