Very friendly family, very exciting experience to live in a tree house. Simple conditions, but it’s enough to feel the hospitality. Volcano trekking was fantastic!

Good location if you’re going up the volcano, however hard to get anywhere else without paying expensive amounts for a lift somewhere. Very welcoming though, food was fantastic, bed was comfortable and provided with mosquito netting for the night. Bring a portable charger or 2 as power is limited and only switched on for a few hours at night.

I had a lovely stay at Alofa. The property was very well-maintained with a beautiful garden directly on the beach. The staff were kind and helpful, food was excellent, and it was such a quiet, peaceful location. Thank you Alofa!

Good location just in front of one of the blue hole. Access to the blue hole requires reef shoes that can be found at the property (limited size options though). Tom and his family were friendly but will only accomodate what would fit their schedule but we managed to do everything we wanted. Food options are very limited during the day and the breakfast is minimalist. Dinner was fine though. A couple of resorts at 15’ walk offered a wider range of options if needed.
Offering a barbecue and a private beach area, Tanna Evergreen Resort & Tours is situated on Tanna Island.

Totally not worth the money! DON’T BOOK this if white grass is open.
Horrible experience. Booked a trip to volcano at 2am but the car broke down and we have to helped push the car at least 10 back and forward. Not departure until 4:30am and miss the best time for volcano causing us saw nothing but smoke and have to cross a river on foot. Everyone was just cheating that “the weather is better now you can go up and see the volcano“ but there’s actually obviously nothing. We just waited on the cold volcano top for 1h without tour guide and get sick after that for almost 2 weeks. We paid 18000VUV pp and get nothing but illness and they even don’t want make up for it, only willing to give a refund of around 2000VUV PP. What a funny attitude.
Room is horrible too, there’s even no quilt for upper bundle bed and it’s covered with dust. And there’s nothing to eat. We asked almost through the menu but they almost said “we don’t have this” to everything and there’s also low low low efficiency.
Located at Ipak Bay, North Tanna, Rockwater Resort features a private beach and landscaped gardens. Return airport transfers are included upon request from the property.

The location is absolutely fantastic with beautiful views. The garden is really great, beautifully lush. The rooms are incredibly beautifully decorated with an eye for detail, each with a fantastic terrace or a balcony. Privacy for each room is guaranteed by the clever design of the entire accommodation. The grounds with garden and orchard are great to walk through.
There is a path down where you can easily enter the water to go snorkeling in calm water. Such beautiful coral with its even more beautiful fish, you're in a real time aquarium! The restaurant is open and very spacious with absolutely the best food! Every day another menu is really awesome to choose from. The owners/ managers and staff are very friendly and very helpful to arrange everthing you would love to do. At the end of the day the staff made a fire in the firepit to enjoy the sunset with a drink, just before dinner. The managers arranged all the excursions that we wanted to do and took care that everything went according to plan, wow!
To experience the volcano from so close is a super special experience and great that we saw, felt and smelled that. The route to it through the ashplanes was absolutely amazing! Yakel village was also a super special experience with beautiful people. Also a visit to the banyan tree was magical!
A tip I want to give, go to the website to read all the excursions you can do on site in advance. So that you know what you want to do when you get there and can book directly to optimize your stay. We absolutely loved Tanna and loved our stay at the Resort and whished we could have stayed even longer!
