After sending a week in the Kruger national park we had a short stay Hoedspruit and then some downtime in Hazyview, it’s such an amazing area with so much to see and do. Definitely do the Big swing in Graskop, visit the Elephant Whisperers and visit Tanks bush pub for amazing food and service - don’t be afraid!
Hippo hollow restaurant served the best springbok shank and Kuka made incredible breakfast and sushi!
We loved an early cycle everyday to Sabie or Graskop and back with a Plato coffee to complete it!

The game park was nice but we didnt get to see all the big five only saw the buffalo and elephant. There are too many boring animals visible live the wild dog and impalas only.
We eat at the train that was excellent veiw and fresh food.

My stay was a peaceful retreat with stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The restaurant offered a picturesque dining experience by the river, where we enjoyed watching the hippos swim and playfully 'laugh.' The food was both delicious and healthy, with expert preparation and attention to detail. The room had a charming vintage feel, nestled deep in the bush, which added a unique character to the experience. While I wasn’t a fan of the rustic vibe, my partner absolutely loved the authentic connection to nature. A truly delightful and memorable visit!

Great location to visit attractions in Hazyview. The hostess was very helpful in suggesting activities and made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable. I had let them know ahead of time that I was vegan and she prepared special vegan sausages and had plant milk available at breakfast. She was extremely helpful with providing directions and a picture of the hotel entrance and even sent us a list of the loadshedding schedule so we were prepared for the power and water outages.
The area is located outside the city noise. It's very quiet and peaceful. The unit we booked was a semi-self catering and had no stove. We used microwave to make breakfast, however breakfast and supper is available at the property(extra cost).
Friendly host and staff. It's also close to other activities like quad biking, archery, paintball etc and Hazyview Junction (less than 9km) which has checkers, clothing stores and restaurants for those who wanna dine out
The lodge is 10min away from the Paul Kruger Gate so is convenient and quick. The accomodation overlooks the river and Kruger park. We stayed in the self catering part which was fantastic. Was worried that having the bathroom and kitchen in other rooms about 10 steps away but it was fine, actually better. The pool was cool and inviting. The dinner was 3 course set menu which was very tasty and had good choices. A lovely place.
What a great stay! The whole staff is so incredibly friendly and sweet. The rooms are so cute and clean. We had room no8, which looks over the whole banana plantation. That was so pretty. The food was very tasty, compliments to the cook! You can book many activities with the hotel on the spot. The location is also perfect, a 7 min drive from hazyview itself, 25 min from Phabeni gate and 40 min from Graskop. Highly recommend.
Location ideal and central to Park as well as other attractions.
Place is beautiful but doesn't allow you that comfortable stay ito of comfort (reference to hotel rooms) and value for money.
