Breakfast was very good. However, the lady who received us did not care to share any specific information about the facilities'. No effort was made to share bar operating times, whether spa facilities where available and what the charges where, etc? Basically we were just asked for proof that we are the actual people who booked and that was that, no explanation as to what the room we were booked offered and its features. It was kind of a bland experience, we did not feel that welcome and we travel locally and internationally quite extensively. We were quite surprised at the compactness of the room in relation to what we paid.
Overlooking the peaceful Langebaan lagoon, this hotel provides free wireless internet and private parking along with an authentic farmhouse experience on South Africa's beautiful West Coast.

Langebaan is delightful with its many varied eating options. It has very adequate shops and the town is clean. It gives easy car access to a variety of other small West Coast towns and to the Fossil Park.

Langebaan is a lovely seaside town and a perfect escape from the big city, without leaving behind the comfort and amenities of a city. There is a plenty to do, particularly if you enjoy being outdoors and/or are into water activities. The beaches are pristine and, being a lagoon, the water is calm and typically warmer than beaches on the open ocean (a few degrees warmer than Cape Town's beaches.) There are a number of lovely restaurants and a fantastic brewery called Black Eagle (taproom open on Fridays & Saturdays.) The West Coast Fossil Park is a short 15 minute drive from Langebaan which is a must visit for dinosaur enthusiasts (open Tuesday to Sunday.) Be aware that it is a small town, so, don't plan to be doing much on Sunday as most things shut down (including the grocery stores!) Plenty of accommodation to suit a range of tastes and budgets too. I've stayed in a couple of different accommodations and can also say that Langebaan is a very safe town to visit. I have at no point during my stays ever felt unsafe. It is quiet and peaceful, and the people are very warm and friendly.

Easy enough to get to from Cape Town (1:45) drive with lots of places to stay. A growing town but still with it's main road leading through the shopping area and toward the beach. Some great seaside restaurants too and a large, windy beach.

It was perfect that there is a mall with restaurants right opposite.
Its not a clear view of the water but lovely to look towards it and see it in the distance. The location and accommodation is perfect for a short getaway.

Ate at Dockside, Club Mykonos, so disappointed with the food.
The sauce bottle overflowed on opening, then the prego roll came apart possibly the roll tasted old, the calamari was rubbery, I sent some back and the wings was well-basted but very dry inside. Never wanted to complain, but really sorry about the experience.

The food was exceptional and the staff at the restaurant were amazing. The farmhouse was very well decorated and maintained in a quaint farmhouse style which was really great. The lagoon views from the hotel and the rooms was exceptional and the staff were all very friendly. The location is excellent!!! It is far enough away from the hussle and bussle of Mykonos and close enough to all the main beach and the very nice "hidden" beach, Shark Bay. I will 100% stay at this hotel again.
Helen and Warren made our stay in Langebaan absolutely unforgettable! Their warm hospitality, attention to detail, best breakfast (ever) and the stunning location were perfect. We can’t wait to return!
