What a brilliant concept! It accommodated all my needs.
What a brilliant concept! It accommodated all my needs. The owner was not hard to reach whenever I needed directions, the staff members took great care of me and the place is clean. If you are a nature lover, need a peaceful drive out of JHB and some alone time … I definitely recommend the place.

The owners were welcoming and friendly. The place is quiet and beautiful with beautiful mountain view.
The room was perfect, big and clean. There was loadshedding in the area but it did not affect us because other means were provided for us to have electricity.
We loved and enjoyed being served delicious breakfast. We will definitely go back there soon 🥰

Convenient, clean, well appointed, quiet (except with generator at times - load shedding) and very friendly staff. Great as a stop over to Sodwana. Only negative was the not so great pillows. Would definitely stay here again.
Dinner at Munch, only a few km’s away, was really good.

Piet Retief(Mkhondo) is a truck town... but the people are so lovely. Very helpful with good schools and dentists! We enjoyed eating at Munch, Mama Mia, Spur, Ilanga Decor and Wimpy. All provided good service and was clean and friendly. People are generally happy to live in PR.
We got to know the town fairly quickly, it's not that big, but unfortunately the Home Affairs was a downright disappointment... which was one of the reasons we were in town.
We felt fairly safe, we received good references for alterations, churches and food but they can do with a Woolies Foods! The Pick 'n Pay was well stocked and generally the suburbs were clean too. The main city area is pretty hectic with people, but we didn't feel violated at any time. God still lives in Piet Retief.

The rooms are neat and clean and quite spacious and have everything you need, including TV/free Wi-Fi/fridge. The facility is right at the main road but still quiet. Lovely Charlene just became my new favourite host out of all my travels through South Africa as she and her staff make Piet Retief a worthy stopover. Breakfast and dinner at the adjacent Mama Mia restaurant were as exquisite as it gets.
Checking in went very smooth, safe parking, a nice clean room, a great location, and an exceptionally good breakfast (also for our vegan family member).
We felt very much at home here thanks to the exceptionally kind and welcoming staff: making this a memorable stay. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Piet Retief.
Safe and secure parking. Large, spacious room. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Good Wi-Fi. Even started a generator during Eskom load shedding. Helpful with boiling water during load shedding. One of the best places to overnight in Piet Retief by far!
The staff were exceptional and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable. Having a restaurant onsite was lovely, so that we didn't have to go into Piet Retief for dinner.
