    Andorra was beautiful.

Andorra was beautiful. Skiing with my wife and 11yo daughter was magical, a short bus ride to Encamp or a longer picturesque journey to Pas de La Casa, more snow would have made it perfect. Andorra La Vella was well located with easy public transport to all destinations. Don’t forget to buy an eSIM for getting internet when travelling. It also came in handy as the hotel internet was below expectations. I need to go again as I have not yet found any food places to recommend

Good ski domain and easy access to the slopes.

Good ski domain and easy access to the slopes. Well managed ski slopes and helpful welcoming people all around. The only issue is the noisy nature of the town with a lot of drunk people shouting at night. The smell of joints is also very common everywhere, including on the chair lifts, almost as common as in Amsterdam before the change of rules. This should be better managed as I had not noticed this when I came 8 years ago. Shopping is limited if you don’t want cigarettes, alcohol, make up. A lot less options than a few years ago. Found lots of good restaurants with a wide variety of food options at reasonable value. Overall, a good base for skiing but with compromises.

Great town to visit, varied shops and small streets, plenty of restaurants. Often open air “acts” in the squares. This visit, a group singing in one square and a balancing act on stacks of beer grates!

Accommodation was excellent, very clean, comfortable and with great facilities. Wonderful location, very close to the ski slopes and ski hire shops 100m. The host was extremely supportive ensuring we had all the details for a smooth check in and out experience and on hand to make local recommendations for food, shopping etc. We were a family of three and would definitely stay again.

We visit Soldeu often for ski-ing, usually 3-4 days. We're able to drive there and if our accommodation doesn't have parking it's generally available at a reasonable cost. We like the ease of access to the slopes and being able to hire ski lockers at the base of the gondola. It's a smaller village that suits us. We enjoy the ambience, walking around and the restaurants. We always enjoy eating at La Taverna de la Iaia, L'era de la Cort Soldeu and on our last trip at La Caleta. We've yet to try La Cort de Popaire Soldeu that has a good fixed menu and generally good reviews. There's a good range of bars and places to eat. If you plan to self-cater the supermarkets have limited supplies beyond basic, so it might be best to take some with you.

I was there for the World MTB championships and the organisation for getting to and from the bike park was excellent. There were plenty of buses available to the gondola to access the bike park. I also had a days hiking where I found the route very well sign posted with paths and bridges well kept.

A pretty little town surrounded by the Spanish mountains. Lots of little lanes with shops to explore. A market square with a market on a Sunday. Some nice bars and restaurants and tons of outdoor activity shops, to buy and or hire all manner of equipment.
