The area is a peninsula with suburbs a short drive from each other and on either side a National park. So the area is not built out or over crowded and there are many beaches and boat tours that you can consider.Guest review byGregory - Review score10.0

Salamander Bay is a thin sandy white beach which is protected by Corlette and Soldiers Point. It has trees along the sand dune so there is a lot of shade to protect you while you sit on the beach and watch the children play. There is also a nature sanctuary along part of the beach and you can see Black Swans and Pelicans most daysGuest review byTinaAustralia - Review score10.0

We liked our villa, very comfortable, the camp kitchen was the best we have seen. The grounds and amenities were great, reception staff very friendly. We did not find anything to complain about. We had some great meals close to the holiday park. Easy walking to the shops in the Main Street .Guest review byAnonymous - Review score4.0
The property does not deserve a 8.1 rating.
The property does not deserve a 8.1 rating. Could not use the shower or the air conditioner due to there below poor condition, including foul smell. Beds were terrible. Motel was cramped with terrible parking. It was a very unpleasant stay, we couldn’t wait to leave.Guest review byJodieAustralia - Review score10.0

Loved the location of Bannisters which is right across the road from the Bowling Club and down below Bannisters is the sailing club where you can get a coffee overlooking the water. There are quite a few restaurants nearby and Holberts Prawn and Oysters are a few minutes drive away.Guest review byCharlesAustralia - Review score10.0
It was a lovely 3 day break.
It was a lovely 3 day break. We took long walks in the mornings and sat on our balcony had coffee a real pleasure to be there. Took a walk down the long Jetty which was lovely. Although Oysters were our main reason for coming here unfortunately only in their shells were available and we couldn't shuck them so we missed out. Never mind the RSL Bowls club had lovely meals and we ate there each night. We would stay there again in a flash.Guest review byjannAustralia - Review score10.0
So much to see and do.
So much to see and do. The people of Fingal Bay and surrounds take great pride in their towns, everything is so clean and well maintained. The views are amazing, lots of places to enjoy good food or a cocktail. Do yourself a favor and head to Fingal Bay and surrounds! Must do is a trip out to Tea Gardens on the Original Tea Gardens Ferry. Kerry the captain is full of information and daily the dolphins swim on the side of the ferry on the trip across the beautiful waters. Another must do is a trip to Anna Bay Sand Dunes and ride the camels, have breakfast or lunch at The Crest Cafe at Birubi Beach while you're there.Guest review byJacquiAustralia - Review score8.0
Very centralized to Maitland and Newcastle.
Very centralized to Maitland and Newcastle. Lots of Fast Food / Fuel and Quality eating places within a short distance. The in-house restaurant at Sir Francis Drake is lovely, and the food is nice. It's my usual place to stay.Guest review bySusanAustralia - Review score10.0

We love taking our dog on holiday with us - so Anna Bay has a big dog friendly beach which also has shallow end. The "locals" were all really friendly, relaxed and gave helpful suggestions. Good pub , pizza place, fish n chips n hamburger joint. Ideal for really relaxed casual holidayGuest review byDeniseAustralia
