Set within 120 acres of stunning parkland, this luxurious 4-star resort has been developed around a magnificent 1750’s Georgian residence in Enfield, County Meath.

It was a perfect distance for a 2 night stay from Dublin. Had a choice of 2 restaurants and a cocktail bar for the evenings. The spa was a great experience and was very well run. Friendly staff and clean property.

We want to Trim, a lovely little city.

We want to Trim, a lovely little city. People were super friendly and proud to show off the sites and share stories. We regret leaving for Dublin which was just another big city to us. Easy parking The folks at the tourism office and castle entrance were funny and friendly Nothing is open before 10 AM

Easily the most rounded town I have ever visited for a vacation. There was everything I could need there in order to support a trip, plenty of unique accommodations, dozens of attractions for free/cheap, and more than enough local places to grab a bite to eat! The public transportation is as good as you would expect, but just about everything is a casual walk away from the center of the town.

As a family of 4 people attending the Harry styles concert...

As a family of 4 people attending the Harry styles concert in slane castle 🏰. After booking this Pilo hotel with two teenagers it was an absolute disgrace . I arrived back about 2 am to a room without any clean towels or bins 🗑 emptied. They also must have work going on as the loud banging noises from the room next door 🚪 I thought a hammer was coming through our walls . Before we left for the concert 🎵 I asked the cleaners to freshen up our room with clean towels and stuff and they just nodded at me . I’m not sure even if they speak English or not but very rude. No one was on reception and my husband had to drive to a shop to get loo roll 🧻 for our children 👧. The next morning as I was checking out I made staff aware of what happened and they said I should have called reception for assistance. The same reception we passed through on the way in this was unattended. Anyway they have fun cctv and they had the audacity to try and put the blame back on me saying I had put a do not disturb sign 🪧 on the door 🚪. This again was lie’s as I took a picture of my kids leaving for the concert 🎵 and no signs were hanging on my room door . The staff are very rude and also another lady who had the same problem as us was telling them about her stay . No towels for shower 🚿 or soap and loo rolls as well , so we all could not have been lying 🤥. I’ll never recommend this place for anyone else.

Stayed in the headfort arms for our 12 year anniversary, arrived and was given an upgrade on our room we wore delighted! (we stayed in room 2). The lady at the reception checking us in was lovely very informative and had a laugh with us, I never caught her name unfortunately. We ate in the Vanilla Pod restaurant I'm sure it was called, the food, drinks and service wore lovely. Breakfast was fast and very tasty! Downfall unfortunately for us was our sleep, the windows in the room did let alot of street noise in and possibly heat out as it did get cold even with the rad on full. The pillows in our room wore awful, 4 pillows on the bed 2 of them folded like paper and the other 2 wore like a brick, we didn't get a good nights sleep at all sadly, we also had a coffee machine with plenty of options for tea & coffee but no cups in the room to make any. Due to the lack of sleep I'm not sure I'd come back to stay which is a same as the hotel itself is fabulous.

Bedroom dated and the main hotel bar only opens Friday and Saturday nights. Food options (other than the main restaurant) very limited and quite pricey. 4star prices but basic 3star facilities. Location beautiful,

Bettystown has a fabulous beach ideal for nice long walks, there's also some nice coffee shops in the area but there is not much else to do there. There are good bus and rail connections, with shuttle buses to and from the train station in Laytown and the main bus station in Drogheda. A car would also be helpful to explore neighboring areas, and a little further a field.

I only stayed one night or less, actually (from 6 pm to 3 am the next day), so I cannot review Navan, but I really liked the pub and live music I found. It was the pub with the cat called Henry, but don't ask me about the pub's real name or the address. Somewhere in the centre.

Give some time to this compact town brimming with history.

Give some time to this compact town brimming with history. A wonderful brochure is produced to explain the many historic landmarks and a circuit to tour them by car. So much going back to early Christianity and the powerful families who built Trim Castle and other structures. Plenty of good food and just a great vibe overall.
