So much to see and explore- from literally world class art museums, amazing churches and galleries to quirky and educational cave dwellings and grottos. Ideal length probably three to four days to allow for much walking, lots of steps and stairways and time to relax and chill over a Limoncello spritz and sample some of the delicious food!Guest review byClydeTUnited Kingdom - Review score8.0

I liked the old city center area, all the restaurants and shops just a short walk on mostly level ground. It seemed very safe! I would have liked to see the museum but it was a little too far and down a steep hill for a troublesome knee. A little knowledge of Italian and a translation app was helpful. The people would work with you and overall we’re very kind.Guest review bySuzanneUnited States - Review score10.0
Maratea is a dream destination.
Maratea is a dream destination. A tiny lovely village up in the mountains, stunning beaches and the charm of countryside in between. Safe, welcoming, affordable. Suitable for families and teenagers, there are plenty of boat excursions and water sport facilities so one doesn’t get bored. Social but not too crowded. Will definitely come back! Just careful, it’s vertical so distances seem to be much bigger and a car/bus is often necessaryGuest review byMartaUnited Kingdom - Review score8.0
Marinagri offers very unique vibe.
Marinagri offers very unique vibe. It is peaceful and very tranquil, you will feel welcome and safe. Policoro is a small city. However it is very cute and people are kind, the weather is great in September. The reason I decided to travel to Marinaagri is sailing in the Ionian Sea. My sailing experience was sensational and I am happy I discovered new destination for my new sailing journeys. The food is amazing I did visited Nemo restaurant, this is very unique place with amazing food choices an first you may think it is a fast food place but I’d you go to Policoro you must try it it is amazing. Seafood is fresh and local and very tasty.Guest review bymariana - Review score8.0

Very interesting place with long history and some important historical artefacts. Cosy, calm old town with many silent streets and very noisy, live night centre near the castle with plenty of bars and full of people.Guest review byArek67Italy - Review score10.0
Adorable town with incredible views.
Adorable town with incredible views. Loved strolling at night when it seemed the entire village and all ages were out in the piazza enjoying each other. We didn't do the Flight of the Angels as my husband has had back surgery, but it looked fabulous. So glad we spent a night in this gorgeous village!Guest review byBrendaUnited States - Review score8.0
Neat town and definitely worth checking out.
Neat town and definitely worth checking out. Lots of walking and LOTS of stairs. Google doesn't do a good job of giving you elevations or directions. There are lots of closed streets and backroads that it thinks you can get through. Bring comfortable shoes and plenty of ibuprofen. However, there are very neat churches and buildings and the overall cave town concept is really neat. 2 days of exploring are sufficient for here. Several movies were filmed here (such as a newer James Bond). Lots of areas to walk around with plenty of amazing views and photo opportunities.Guest review bySprintUnited States - Review score10.0
An interesting city for a short visit.
An interesting city for a short visit. A nice Archeological museum (general tours are in Italian exclusively). The city is rich in its theatre but unfortunately, we came out of a season. The historic city centre is situated on the top of a high natural hill; verticals in the city are striking. Therefore, free public elevators are quite ordinary means of transportation.Guest review byMaxim4ikIsrael - Review score6.0

Spread over a wide area on a dizzying hill side you need a vehicle to enjoy it fully. Our experience was marred by an occlusion that kept the sun away the whole time. The main centre up a winding road was plagued with cars even in the pedestrian zone. There was nothing special to see. The beach in Fuimicello is grey shingle neither comfortable nor welcoming although there is one convenient hotel bar to enjoy. The statue on the hillside appeared occasionally through the gloom.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - Review score10.0
