Garni Hotel Miklič is a 3-star hotel located amid the mountains in the town of Kranjska Gora, at the foothills of Vitranc and right next to a ski slope.

The staff was so nice! They remembered and celebrated my daughter's birthday with a suprize pancake. They were always very helpfull. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was great. Location is very close to slopes which was great! Thank you

    A most delightful city.

    A most delightful city. Clean and comfortable for walking and hiking. Beautiful quaint cottages with verdant gardens line the streets. Magnificent views all around for great photography. The folks spoke English and were extremely friendly and helpful. Local transportation is super convenient especially when heading to Lake Bohinj. In short, the Switzerland of the Balkans but without the price tag!

    The local scenery is beautiful.

    The local scenery is beautiful. The cafe' on the lake is worth a visit. Otherwise, this is a very small ski town with limited infrastructure and dining options. Two nights is sufficient. We were there in winter and there is not much to do if you don't ski.

    Bohinj has a lot of interesting things to do, like hiking and skiing. A must see in Bohinj is waterfall Savica and Bohinj lake. Bohinj is an interesting place to visit but only if the weather is good. If it is raining you have noting to see there.

    A beautiful city in the Alps.

    A beautiful city in the Alps. There are many sporting possibilities, however it was raining while we were there, so we couldn't experience them. There is a great mining museum nearby, very interesting. The prices are a bit higher than in other parts of Italy.

    We had a wonderful stay at the hotel!

    We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always smiling, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, delicious, and very diverse, so we looked forward to every meal. We definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly return!

    Lesce is a local residential village so nothing special is...

    Lesce is a local residential village so nothing special is really happening there. It is quite small and very quiet with supermarkets in the vicinities. The best thing about Lesce is it central location to all the major areas around Lake Bled.

    Great place to stay, lots of things to do, great restaurants...

    Great place to stay, lots of things to do, great restaurants and even a bee museum. We were lucky and happened upon Radovljica as we had wanted to stay in Bled, which honestly was overrated and far too full. Head for Radovljica or Bohinj instead!

    My visit to Kobarid (Caporetto) was primarily to spend time in its superb war museum and the WWI open air museum on the Kolovrat 15 kms to the east. As mid-September is classed as 'out-of-season' getting to the latter proved difficult (no public transport out of season!) but with the kindness of strangers - the people of Kobarid - I was able to make it there. The scenery in this part of Slovenia is spectacularly beautiful, the people of Kobarid warm, helpful and friendly. I hope to go back some day.

    From our location we were able to tour Bled on foot and...

    From our location we were able to tour Bled on foot and easily walk back to our apartment. There is a walkway around Lake Bled or steps to the Castle; lots of historical sites. Daily walks for Cappuccino, "krofe" and fresh bread. When on roadies, we stocked up on charcuteri board items, wine and beer for picnicking on the way. Food and Wine pairing is a must at Hotel Triglav in Bled! Highlight of our trip.
