Staff is welcoming and ready to help, certainly the best part of the hotel, a big thank you to them. Our room smelled awfully like limestone and moisture, they should ventilate more often. Was it clean? I hope. The bedsheets were fresh and dry from laundry. The furniture was all in all extremely out of date, i think the bed and the wardrobe was just as old as me. I've only seen an air conditioner like that, perhaps, in movies back in the 90's. The get-up - just a drama. Different from the TV "no signal", the Wifi worked. There was a mini-fridge, not sure if it worked though. Breakfast: Not the biggest choice, but the crossiants were very good - warm, fresh and tasty, the other stuff like cornflakes and drinks - ok. The dining room - a real thight fit.. The tables and seat places enough for maybe 1 or 2 coffee cups, but not for the breakfast, just uncomfortable. The spacious and secured parking lot is pretty nice. Location: quite far away from all the interesting sights, so the price is small compared to the other hotels in the surrounding area. To sum up: it fits as a 1-night Bed-and-Breakfast-and-Forget. The price is the biggest advantage - you just can't find any other place cheaper than this here, that's it. Not under any circumstances to recommend.

Regina Isabella-Resort Spa Restaurant is on the site of ancient Greek-Roman ruins, directly on the seashore in Ischia's Lacco Ameno.

Wonderful Concierge who was over and above helpful. All the staff were wonderful. The history and the mood of the hotel is so unique and fabulous that we definitely want to come back again. A special thankyou goes to our wonderful Bar man Salvatore who was attentive, humorous and warm and the Bar manager aswell.

    Such a friendly island.

    Such a friendly island. Forio was great to wander around lazily, Sant Angelo was an interesting old fishing village with a fabulous restaurant on the square, and the Port had great shopping streets and cafes to spend a day exploring. Taxis were hard to get out of season but buses are so easy - I totally recommend catching them to go everywhere! Just be careful when walking between places as there are often no pavements! The sunset is unique -with a famous green flash as the sun goes below the horizon. We watched it from the amazing Lisola Restaurant, which is another one to recommend. The Cactus garden is a lovely way to spend a couple of hours, with a super cafe as well (eats and drinks).

    No parking.

    No parking. Many steps to get to the piazza and port and not pedestrian safe. Not geared to tourists. Shops for local consumption mostly. Ok for a day or two but traffic in and out is terrible and not a good base for exploring the area. I found the restaurants good but expensive.

    It's a beautiful island. Quiet. Small.

    It's a beautiful island. Quiet. Small. Lovely views, restaurants and people. You DO need to be able to walk and climb lots of steps. There are eBikes for hire, scooters and cars, but the streets are tiny and best walked. A great place to unwind. You can also hire boats or book boat trips. Great for sailing.

    +parking, Il breakfast - check in starts at 17 hrs and earlier check in of just 2 hrs involved an extra.Eur 15 .plus shower cubicle not clean and low light in the room. L indirizzo su booking.com is totally different and needs to be amended.

    I used to live here for 2 years.

    I used to live here for 2 years. I like how it is more peaceful than Naples. The restaurants have very good food, especially the pizza a la lenio. I love the markets you have called mercantinos. I love the beaches as well. I don’t like the massive amount of traffic around 10am on Sundays. That’s only in the summer though. All in all I love lago patria.

    Everywhere except 1 restuarant was closed because of the pandemic. There is no bank and only 1 supermarket. My son was stung by a jellyfish. There is no public transport. The beach is nice and the sea is safe

    We loved the owners of the hotel that we stayed at but as for the town it was a dump with all due respect! It was way out of Naples and access to the beach is impossible without a car, not much affordable transport options in Italy. I would not return to Varcaturo and probably not Italy for that matter. This experience has put us off! The owners of our hotel are the only reason we would consider returning to Italy due to there warm hospitality but sadly wouldn’t stay there again solely due to the location.

    We have been there for 3 day in non-seasson.

    We have been there for 3 day in non-seasson. The 3 days seems to be suitable for enjoy the island in that time. We visited several places/cities and spend most time of walking around and seeing nature and the island as such. What I would reccommend is using public transport. It is well organized and enhough frequent in reasonable price. Driving there can be a nightmare for less experienced persons.

    We loved to visit the Greek/Roman sites at Pozzuoli, Baia ,Bacoli and Cuma which were almost empty of tourists.There were a variety of restaurants within walking distance from the property, but it was easy to travel to Pozzuoli by public transport where the restaurants on the front are superb.
