Koh Lipe used to be an amazing quiet paradise, world class diving, authentic food. We had not been back in a few years and was shocked at the change. Now it is a lively place, drug cafes everywhere, food more for tourists, and the dive sites crowded with most of the coral dead. It is a shame that everything has developed without control. It is still a nice place to visit, but for a short stay, diving no longer worth the hassle and very expensive. There are many crowded areas, so long gone is the tranquil paradise.Guest review byDavidMalaysia - Review score8.0

I was there on business heading to Langkawi so only one night then the ferry the next day. With transport there is a lot to see in Satun. A quiet little backwater coastal town that has a ferry to Langkawi. If I had time I would do more exploring. I ate at the local shops a donut and a coffee. Main meal at my room as I brought it with me in my car fridge. I did go to a excellent coffee shop before checking into my room. Satun is developing but in not way touristic, No crowdsGuest review byBob MottAustralia - Review score10.0

A good place to relax and stop over before you go to Koh Lipe or Koh Adang. I would recommend Papaya Mom 2 Restaurant for delicious HALAL AUTHENTIC THAI FOOD. A visit by walking or jogging near the Mu Ko Phetra National Park during sunset was awesome and great view.Guest review byDin AbasMalaysia - Review score8.0
Beautiful little island in the south of Thailand.
Beautiful little island in the south of Thailand. Not the easiest to get to. Main Street is walking street with shops, restaurants, massage parlours etc. Highly recommend the sunset cruise. Avoid Zodiac bar, it’s just full of kids that think it’s the place to hand and you can’t even see the sunset from the stone seating.Guest review bychrisUnited Kingdom - Review score8.0
Good place to stay with your family on your vacation.
Good place to stay with your family on your vacation. Good eating place around the area such as: Papaya Mom, Rim Lay Kitchen & Restaurant, Nava Seafood, Bara Roti and few other restaurants. You can also go to Koh Lipe for the stay and some other water activities.Guest review byMuhamad AidiMalaysia - Review score10.0

We stayed 5 nights and it was a perfect length of stay.
We stayed 5 nights and it was a perfect length of stay. I thought Lipe would be very unspoilt as it seemed a long trip to make from Krabi. But I was surprised to see how developed it was when we arrived. We were there in March and it was OK but people told us that earlier in the season it gets really busy. Don't expect Paradise Lost, but its got the best turquoise seas and beaches.Guest review byJudithSwitzerland - Review score10.0

We just stayed here for a night and took the ferry to Koh Lipe the next day. The part of town immediately surrounding the hotel was dead at night. A 7-11 is close, as well as 4 street vendors selling some food.Guest review byThomasUnited Kingdom
