Ideally located just a short walk to Federal Hill. It had all the amenities we could have possibly needed for a short weekend away. The place was very clean and if it were warmer we would have taken advantage of the porch.

The trolley ride with Viking was excellent.

The trolley ride with Viking was excellent. The view from the trolley and the knowledge of the driver (who gave the tour throughout) was excellent. We purchased a tour with a museum ticket included (Breakers). The Mansion tour is very nice - be sure to bring headphones for your smartphone for the tour (it is recorded - not a live person). The walk along the cliff is very nice - take the regular bus line to the south end and then walk all the way back ($2.00 ). Definitely worth it, but beware that the first leg of the cliff walk from the south is not paved and is a bit of rock hopping but still easy).

    City of Warwick is fine.

City of Warwick is fine. However, the hotel should have had a prior warning about the construction which was in progress during my stay. I felt it was rather unsafe to walk through workers to and from your room.

Middletown is great for being outside the Mecca of Newport.

Middletown is great for being outside the Mecca of Newport. And while in the hotel, I felt like I could have been anywhere in the world. It's that inviting and comfortable. We came for a 2 day AAU Basketball Tournament in Tiverton, and I chose to stay in Middletown overnight. I wish we could have stayed longer... I wanted to walk down memory lane having lived and Served in the USN in Newport, but alas I had to flutter back home. I loved that there were stores and restaurants close by, but the proximity to downtown Newport drew me to the coastal village that I once loved so much and still do. Loved coming back to hospitable Sonesta employees, working out in the gym for a spell, sitting in the Sun the next morning in the pool area. So warm and bright.

5 Huge Stars to the Staff, room size, cleanliness, parking, wifi, and location. Felt safe. So much shopping. Loved the recliner, kitchen, hardwoods, bathroom, and desk. The bed was nice. Clean. Just bring earplugs. The walls are made of paper and you hear everything above and next to you.

Smithfield suited our needs for this trip.

Smithfield suited our needs for this trip. There was ample retail to assist with some items we needed. Our business took us to a nearby town not allowing us much time to explore but the town looked interesting. We did notice that this area evidently is home to university/college students but that presented no problems whatsoever.

We loved how quiet it was.

We loved how quiet it was. October is peak season for us where we live on the north fork of LonG Island, NY, and crazy full of tourists, we were happy that October is kind of “off season” for Narragansett. We took a Gansett Cruise in Newport Harbor, highly recommend! We ate at SPAIN one night, it was so good we wanted to go back a second night, but couldn’t get a reservation. The other nights we ate on the property where we stayed (The BREAK) at Chair 5, try the Roast Oysters, delicious! And probably the best French fries I’ve ever had!

I was in town to set up a new apartment. My husband and I are from New England and planning to stay in RI during the summer. The South Kingstown/Narragansett area is a hidden jewel - everything you need to set up house, useful stores and very close to Jamestown and Newport.

Ok so Woonsocket probably isn’t what you’d call a tourist destination. That said when you are there the local folk are mostly friendly and there are one or two things to see. The absolute highlight is St Anne’s Church. Now a community project as the Catholic Church moved on it is maintained and operated by a community group. This is by its self reason to stop by in Woonsocket an absolute must see. Just remarkable. You just won’t believe your eyes and no I’m not very religious.

Providence is an under appreciated weekend go-to.

Providence is an under appreciated weekend go-to. A very walkable city with great little restaurants and/bars located around almost every corner. In a long weekend's time, we took in a PBruins Hockey game, found some great BBQ, walked and shopped a very crowded and busy Mall. There are some very affordable Hotels and food/beverage/shopping ALL in walking distance.
