The healing waters of the spring.
The healing waters of the spring. The rock pools are so great, relaxing ... your body and spirit are renewed after relaxing in the pool or rock pools. The absolute quietness are wonderful. Each property or house is designed so that you feel you are the only people around. Love the privacy and connecting with nature. After 43 years of visiting the property love all the upgrades and that it still keep the historic buildings in such a good condition.Guest review byDunhofenSouth Africa - Review score10.0

We only stayed one night at Maskam Guest farm, but I will definitely return. We did not see much of the area as the trip was to see family only. The mountains are spectacular and the night sky is so stunningly clear. I would love to also roam on the farm and see more of it.Guest review bydeVilliers - Review score10.0
Absolutely stunning views.
Absolutely stunning views. Definitely recommend high clearance vehicle. Lots of gravel roads, some are not great. When it rains, the roads are dangerous. Lots of driving through very deep puddles and some bridges washed away. But A+ for adventure.Guest review byAnonymous - Review score6.0
The Klawer hotel is something to visit.
The Klawer hotel is something to visit. We had a very interesting meal there. The place itself is not spectacular, but for atmosphere you must visit this Margo's restaurant, if only to see the "Halucinogenic fish" - at least that is what the waitress called the inhabitants of the fishtank that was sitting opposite our table.Guest review byvivSouth Africa - Review score4.0

I will never return as everything from the Maintenace round the pool, inside the chalet and outside was not done. Area in the reception was disgusting and open wires under the jacuzzi and outside the chalet after what seems to be a geyser that was replaced. No Wifi for 24 hours on arrival, no water for 3 hours, jacuzzi not working and tripping all the time, grass in the main pool area left very long during peak season TRULY A POOR EXPERIENCE AND I WIL NEVER GO BACKGuest review byArnold - Review score10.0
A part of the Cape that is rich in colour, all year round.
A part of the Cape that is rich in colour, all year round. Vast expanses of green farmlands in Winter and Gold in Summer after the harvests. The temperatures are very hot in Summer but for the rest of the year it's very pleasant. The drive to Clanwilliam through the spectacular deep orange coloured Cedarberg Mountain and the scenic stop at Clanwilliam Dam is worth seeing. Great place to visit during the Namaqualand daisy season - mid-August to mid-September.Guest review byMarinaSouth Africa - Review score10.0

The town is quaint and a nice safe walk around it in the evening was a pleasant surprise. The Old Jail is a must see together with the nurseries. Lodge was very accommodating and people seem friendly and helpful. The Shell garage attendants were funny and made filling up an experience. All told - fabulous little dorpie!Guest review byBresler - Review score10.0
The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient.
The staff were super friendly, helpful and efficient. Our Eco-Cottage was beautifully positioned to maximise on the stunning mountain scenery and sunsets while being completely private. We booked supper and breakfast in the restaurant. The 3 course meal was superb; I would highly recommend the Lamb shank... The weather was sublime and we could dine out on the deck, still appreciating the surrounding beauty of nature. We would highly recommend this venue and its facilities and will definitely be returning again.Guest review bySusanSouth Africa - Review score8.0
Small town but central for travellers. Wine tasting nearby.
Small town but central for travellers. Wine tasting nearby. Clanwilliam, Biedouw Valley and flower route. Niewhwoudtville and nature reserves. Klawer Hotel is a older hotel, great for a stop over. Serves a great pizza. Will certainly make Klawer the next holiday stop for at least 3-4 days. Great for camping.Guest review byThompsonSouth Africa
