How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

They should check on shower area and try putting doors and a shampoo or soap dispenser.

Issues with the stove, lockers were broken and/or not really secure, and the toilets were a pain to flush. Lots of little easy to fix issues everywhere that obviously no one cares about to fix. There was no heater/AC in my room, so it was pretty cold.
Good location with a large kitchen and common area. There is a large outdoor patio as well. It is close to the bus station and the ferry terminal. Good for a couple of nights, and best option in Durres. Decent value for the money. Be sure to check out the amphitheater ruins, and hike up to the lighthouse, and check out the abandoned Zog Palace. It's a nice pine forest and there are very nice views of the sea from up there, once you get past the piles of trash.

The property needs some investment: it is cold in the common areas and there are moulds in the bathroom.
Amazing staff / volunteers, very helpful and hospitable. Clean and social place; good location.

Interior needs a bit of TLC.Mould everywhere.Old furniture.And the worst wet rug on the toilet.I did not have a shower because of it.It was soaking wet probably because has been there for ages without replacing it. It would be best without NO rugs in there.Plus mould ceiling and walls.Room not warm enough.Only an electric heater which did not help much.

Shared bathroom, showers with curtain, no door, but, I was able to find the time to use it with privacy. All respectful, so this wasn't really a problem. Thank you to the employees and volunteers
Super central, close to the port, and the bus terminal, just two blocks from the amphitheater and other tourist sites in Durres. Breakfast was super tasty. Very friendly staff.

Room was freezing. No heating. Deep cleaning needed.
Located at the main square Friendly stuff, especially the Italian recepcionist and the old lady cooking breakfast. Breakfast included Comfy bed

Some mosquitos in the common room
Friendly hostel, good common areas in a great central location - the main square is just outside the entrance. Free breakfast was a good meal.

Minor things: the pillow could be better; Wi-Fi didn’t work in the 4 bedroom dorm (the only dorm on the entry floor, the rest are upstairs with no elevator like many hostels and cheaper hotels in the balkans).
Chill vibe hostel. Breakfast included. Great central location. Great staff. Great stay!

The bathroom and showers could be better
I liked the fact that there’s a huge area outdoors and indoor where you can meet people. The breakfasts were decent and all the staff were amazing. They are all super friendly.

Large hostel in a great location. Good value for money - keep in mind this is an older hostel so the rooms are older as are the facilities. Relatively clean. Breakfast was included and it was a good place for a one night stay.

I didn’t like that there is no fan in the room ! It could get very hot during the night ! Also the showers, they don’t have any doors !
I like that it was well located and the breakfast in the morning ! Also, I like that each night there is an activity! That helps to make connections. The volunteers are also very nice !

There wasn't any real aircon in the rooms. This did make it difficult to sleep at night as it would still be 22 or 23 degrees. They did provide fans for the rooms, but they could only do so much.
Good location. Very close to the city center and beaches. Breakfast was provided and was very delicious. It had a very good-sized shared area for people to hang out with. Staff were lovely and super friendly.

No AC- only a fan- and it was very stuffy in room at night despite open window. But it was 35+ degrees!
Excellent location, right in centre and close to seafront. Lovely courtyard with greenery made it nice and cool in hot temperatures! Staff friendly and helpful!
