Guest House Denis is a fabulous place to stay in a lovely quiet area of the old town about ten minutes walk from the Bazaar. A real home from home atmosphere with comfortable bedroom and en-suite shower room, hair dryer, toiletries, slippers. Without doubt the highlight of our stay was the breakfast on the roof terrace each morning. I doubt you will find a better breakfast anywhere else.

Everything! The breakfast is genuinely the best breakfast either of us have ever had at a stay anywhere in the world. They are super friendly and generous, giving us beer and cake on arrival, pomegranates to take with us on our journey and even helped with parking! Location was great and an easy walk into the centre on Gjirokastër

Friendly and very welcoming stay. As said Denis (or his father) can park (in and out) for you the car in the garage or the narrow street (just stop the car where the tarmac ends). Drink and cake on arrival, a sumptuous breakfast on a terrace with incredible views. Very good location for visiting the historical center (yes, it is as all of Gjirokaster up and down).

This place was amazing! We stayed only for a night and felt like a part of the family by the end. Denis and his family are so sweet and truly welcome you into their home. The views are incredible and the breakfast is outstanding. They helped us with taxis and recommended places to eat. I highly recommend this place to anyone. :)

The road to her there is a little scary and our car almost didn’t make it up the hill. I would recommend driving through the town rather than exciting the main road early as we did.

Everything was fantastic. Great location, comfy beds, clean rooms, beautiful views and gorgeous cats! Dennis and his parents were fantastic hosts, greeting us with a cold beer and home made cake on arrival. Fantastic breakfast was the cherry on top of a lovely stay

The room was lovely surrounded by a vineyard. The hosts were amazing, they helped us with the car when we couldn’t reach the location due to very narrow streets. They also helped with parking and gave us tips for restaurants. 100% recommended for a stay in Gjirokastër.

Friendly couple and their son, they gave us a beer and some Albanian snacks at arrival. Very warm welcome. Location was a 10-15 min walk to the bazaar. Breakfast was also great! Would recommend!

The heat! We came during a heat wave and it made it tough to get out and explore during the day. Clearly not a reflection of House Denis...stay here!

Denis's family is phenomenal. They are so warm and helpful. Denis even had to some get us as our Google Maps wasn't cooperating. They fed us so much delicious food. The view is stunning.

Where to begin!m? Just loved every minute of our stay, from arrival to departure. Great location, the friendliest staff you can imagine, nice atmosphere, great breakfast, good bathroom.

The breakfast was delicious, the staff were attentive and generous and parked our car for us (tricky roads), the room was very comfortable and spacious, the bathroom was spotless, we were able to leave our bags whilst we explored Gjirokaster, and the local wildlife was adorable!

Nothing about the property was at fault but the walk to town is a bit uphill which we didn’t mind, helped us digest !

the rooms are cozy and comfortable with cute thoughtful additions. The rooftop terrace was so lovely to chill at night pre heading into town and to start the day followed by the most beautiful breakfast from Ava 🤍 Denis welcome us with drinks and helpful suggestions for our stay. The location was a short walk to town and back. They gave us ample water for the entire stay as well. They have the cutest little garden with vegetables and pigeons !

Organize yourself in terms of transport, especially if you have heavy luggage, either by asking the host for help or getting to the bazaar and then walking around 10 minutes without a very demanding uphill climb. I made mistake of walking there from bus station and needless to say I don't recommend to do so.

I had a fantastic stay at this homestay in Gjirokastra. The location is convenient, just a 10-minute walk from the castle. The place was very clean and aesthetic, with good air conditioning. If needed, they can also help you with laundry. The highlight was the lovely rooftop patio with a view of the castle, which was especially pleasant at night. Although the host didn't speak English, they were very enthusiastic to help, and we managed well with Google Translate. The breakfast was delicious and generous—I felt spoiled! Additionally, the host kindly gave me a lift to the bus station. Highly recommended!
