The bed was unmade and the bathroom sink and bath was full of black hairs. The place was too warm and stuffy so we opened the window but courtyard was excessively noisy! Drunk people where chatting all throughout ams so we had ro shut the window and in the early morning there was construction happening. We barely got any sleep.

Dirty, rude. We cancelled our second night due to the terror threats in Vienna. It was a fully refundable reservation on booking.com but the property wouldn’t honor it there. They owe me 267 euros to my credit card but only will give me a refund if I provide them my checking account number. Not return to my visa that I paid on. They are not honoring the refundable cost. And given the extenuating circumstances

Worst stay ever. The young guy at the reception at around midnight was extremely rude. I asked him about parking and he said they don’t have any and he was not interested in helping me out. I had to park at an exorbitantly crazy expensive lot next to the hotel who charged me over €34 for the night. The room was dirty and the mattress was extremely hard and uncomfortable. I work up with severe back and neck pain. The bathroom was very dated and the shower stall was clogged with dirty water. Needless to say it is one of the worst choices to stay in Vienna!

I checked in at a&o Wien Hbf with my family on Saturday, July 27th around 4 p.m., using the totem at the reception. Our passports were scanned, and we were designated a room (room #509), which was dirty and with unmade beds. At this totem, I also paid the reservation with my credit card. I have these two receipts on my own (for the room and the payment). Only after that, we went to room 509 and saw that there was no way to stay there, due to the high temperature (the hotel does not have air conditioning). In the previous night, my son did not sleep due to the heat, and suffered with shortened breathe and pain chest, so the heat could make this worse. So, we came back to the reception, explained this situation (they saw the boy's condition), and the staff said that the cancellation of my booking was not possible. They gave me a card to contact the feedback team and said that it was perfectly possible to get a refund of the charge, given the health situation with my son. I am trying to get this refund, since we did not spend the night at a&o, but we checked in. They answered my first message saying that my booking was marked as "no-show". I sent my receipts proving that we checked in, but they do not get back to me anymore. This is not a "no-show" situation, it's a mistake. I really would like to get this refund, but the booking remains as "no-show" and they don't reply to my e-mails anymore.

At the first time of my check-in, the room they assigned to me was really dirty and untidy, however i asked to change my room and they helped me. Also, i think pillows were not comfortable at all, i couldn’t sleep well. Additionally, there was no air conditioning in my room and we were not able to open up our windows fully, bc it’s locked up, so it was quite hot inside.

I want to thank specifically to the receptionist Miss Azra, she was so helpful all the time and made us feel really comfortable! Apart from that, hostel’s location is very good and close to the public transportation stations.

So hot and stuffy even with a rainstorm going on outside, a window could be cracked open but not enough to let any air in. After checking in via the self service machine, it couldn't give us key cards so it took longer than it would have if we'd just checked in at reception. Loud plastic mattresses. Loud doors slamming all night. No cribs available at the whole place, so I wish they weren't on the listing as a possibility. We probably would have booked elsewhere if the listing didn't say "cribs available on request". We only had sheets for 2 beds even though there were four of us, so we went down to the front desk to find more. Our room could only be reached by going down some stairs (after taking the elevator to the fourth floor) so we had to carry the stroller down. I slept only 3 hours unfortunately.

It was clean, breakfast was nice, the people at the front desk and bar were nice.

We checked in at 16:30, staff was still cleaning the room, so we had to wait till they finish. In the end apartment wasn’t clean, the beds are not made, and bonus - a pile of dirty towels in the closet.

We were NOT accommodated in the large, six-bed room I booked. At the reception they told us that they had given it to other people. They gave me two separate rooms. This was not OK for me and my family. They were separated, although booking confirmed that the room was booked and they were waiting for us. Pity. I will not visit this place again. Noisy and dirty. Full of noisy students walking until late 1:00am in the hotel and shouting and talking. We didn't rest. It was terrible for us. The rooms had clean beds. The rooms had torn curtains, broken things in the room, dirty and worn walls. No air conditioner in the rooms.

The power socket attached to my bed was not working, neither lights nor power. The bathroom particularly was jammed almost entire period due to hairs and all. The liquid soaps of bathroom and toilet were misplaced, which was kind of wierd in itself.

Location. Explicitly personal experience, even havaing a bed in dorm I was so lucky to not meet any snoring machine. Otherwise, I do have experience of remaining wide awake the whole night in my previous stay due to some heavily snoring people.

Firstly it took an hour to check in and get a room. The reception had 5 staffs but only one was working. There is always a long queue. The kiosk don't work since I had no QR code. Finally they took the payment never provided a receipt. Asked me to wait 10 min because room was getting cleaned. After an hour I went back . Again they asked for ID. Then gave a room with faulty window. No AC no fans . It was steaming hot pot inside. I asked for ventilation or fan none is provided.

When we arrived, we first had to hunt for insects in the room (gnats, mosquitoes and mini-bugs). The room was full of ants, which also got into our suitcases. There was hair from previous guests in the shower cabin. The blanket was dirty. The pillows were bad and old. The shower was clogged. There is no air conditioning in the room, they didn't even offer a fan even though it was 35 degrees. Until 2 o'clock in the morning, there were voices outside and we couldn't sleep because of the noise in the corridor. Very poor. I don't believe they care about the guests at all.

I like the environment, enjoyed the buffet breakfast, and surroundings whereby my son met a lot of people and was able to stay in the lobby till late and even close to the bahnhof You can get anything you want to buy around that area. During the time of my stay, l even introduced your contact to two friends, and definitely, they will come and lodge there before this summer gets to an end. Naturlich, ich lebe a&o hostel.
