Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

tThe rooms were very nice, clean and spacious, the staff were friendly and helpful and the location in relation to the centre of Mayrhofen is very good.

United KingdomOnly thing that wasn’t ideal for us was the size of the living area/kitchen. First ski bus was full each morning so didn’t stop which meant a 10 minute walk but most likely due to being busiest week.
Amazing hosts! Lovely bedrooms with incredibly comfortable beds.

GermanyFor me personally the beds were too soft and I had the lower back pains so strong that I woke up several times a night and made some desperate attempts to change position. But in my family I was the only one who suffered from this, so it might be subjective. That is also the only reason I hadn't put the highest rating for the comfort.
Comfortable large rooms with a nice mountain-view balcony. We had the room with two large double beds and two bathrooms. Comfortable ski room. Sauna. Silent surroundings. "Späti" at the tank station nearby. Kitchen with enough devices and cutlery to cook and comfortably eat at home. We had a large company (3 families with 3 separate rooms) and though the kitchens were not big enough for that amount of people, we are really-really grateful that administration of the apartments allowed us to use one of the "breakfast rooms" to celebrate Christmas all together. That was super positive experience for all of us. Hint: some of my friends struggled to cook on a stainless steel pan. But actually the pans we had were great for cooking, just make sure you at least watch "how to cook on a stainless steel" on Youtube to avoid unpleasant experience of removing burned organics.

FinlandThe floor of the kitchen was always heated, and we had to keep the balcony door and the kitchen window open which had an annoying side effect: flies and mosquitoes. Also there is only a field between the busy main road of Zillertal and the Laubich road passes right in front of the hotel so it was always a little noisy inside (didn't bother us too much though). You couldn't get cold water at all times, and even the cold water wasn't very cold.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and everything worked well. The view from the window and balcony was awesome. The bed was extremely comfortable: the best mattress I've ever had in any hotel (and I'm very demanding what comes to mattresses :D). The room had excellent curtains (so many hotels have annoyingly bad ones). There was a good breakfast that was possible to buy the night before. There was a washing machine and also a possibility to charge our electric car. For us, the location was almost optimal: there were via ferratas and also goats (I love goats :)) within a walking distance, only the walk to the nearest shop was a little long. Mayrhofen is an excellent base for an adventurer, and the hotel gave good value for money. As a whole, way more good than bad, would book again.

absolutely great location, ski bus next to hotel and mayerhofen center with shops cafes and restaurant just 15 minutes walk. apartment 210 was excellent, one of the nicest we ever had, perfect for 2-3 people, very well equipped. apartament 320 was a bit worse as had no proper sitting / living space, just a table in the corridor. still overall impression was good, especially for location. also sauna was available, but it was in the other building, ca 300 m away.

LithuaniaFor longer stays it would be great to have some sort of a better laundry washing situation. At the moment there is no washing machine and no laundry hanger (there was some space to put one in the balcony for sure when needed). We managed to improvise , but some solution would be welcome for longer staying guests. This is still great place to stay at however.
The hosts were pleasant. The check in and checkout were very easy and flexible which we liked. The apartment had old facilities but despite that everything worked and worked well. The rooms were very clean. It had everything we needed for our longer stay (except washing machine). We also really liked that it was in a bit of a quieter part of town and had a great view of the mountains. Town center is still withing walking distance. Arrival by car and parking was very easy. Parking is in the front of the house.

United Kingdomquiet, clean& great breakfast.
We booked two double rooms, 1 on 1st floor very modern, nice etc. the 2nd on 2nd floor was showing serious signs of age. Breakfast excellent, location perfect if you want to be out of town and noisy nonsense but in striking distance of lifts and decent restaurants. A tip for hotel admin would be to give similar rooms to two people on same booking. as previously stated room 250 needs some love while room 150 has had a recent, decent revamp. All in all great value for money considering it was Easter.

United KingdomAs we like to sit on the balcony during many times in the day we were disappointed that it hadn’t got a parasol or any sunscreen of any kind. We could not sit on it from 2ocl in the day until 6pm until the sun went down over the mountain. The balcony had a little table and comfortable chairs but they definitely need parasols.
The apartment we stayed in was on the 2nd floor so a little tedious carrying the suitcases up as had no lift. It was spotlessly clean and bedding and towels were changed every week and the apartment was also cleaned. Staff very friendly. The kitchen was equipped very well and everything very clean. The bathroom was a little small but perfectly adequate. The bed was large and comfortable. It was very close to the town centre, a 5 minutes walk along a flat and very scenic road, in fact you can see the town from the property.
