Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CroatiaThe “double bed” , which are actually two matraces that get separated in the middle of the night, was one of the most uncontroftble sleps of my life. The staff was lovely and the room was really clean. The location was quite good, expecially if travelling by car, beacause there is a cheep garage near by.

United StatesIt desperately needs updating. Feels like a hotel in San Francisco in the 70’s. Most upsetting is the noisy housekeeping staff in the mornings ( 8am!) But… everyone in the hotel is kind, and amiable. Worth the stay if you’re on a budget and need a cozy old hotel.
Staff is extremely attentive and kind.

United KingdomAlthough reception & the dining room looked lovely, the decor in the rest of the hotel was a bit tired and in need of a refresh. Our room was clean, bright and spacious, but a bit dated. One of the art prints on the wall had had googly eyes stuck to it, bizarrely! The bathroom was very clean, but needed attention. The wall mounted flush cover fell off and into the loo in the middle of the night rather noisily (reception said this was "normal for the house" when reported and it was badly caulked back on the same day we reported it), the sink tap was wobbly & there was missing laminate on the counter top. The temperature was hard to get right - was too hot or too cold. The minibar fridge wasn't working nor stocked and there were not drink making facilities in the room (hence use of drinks machine downstairs). The house breakfast was not worth 16 euro - a 2 croissant breakfast at Cafe Monarchie at the top of the road was 8 euro and the croissant were far nicer! They didn't like taking cards for anything less than 50 euro. This smacks of an overly large business overdraft and needing cash to pay staff to me. There was ZERO local or hotel information in the room at all.
The hotel was a little out of the city centre, but very accessible by a range of public transport (train, bus, tram, underground) within 2-10 mins walk, in what felt a very safe area. The room was spacious, and the water hot and consistent in the shower. The drinks machine in the dining room was available for our use 24hrs. There was a 24hr reception / a door code to use if no one was there. There were 2 supermarkets and a great licensed cafe (doing breakfast, lunch, afternoon cake, evening meals and with a basic bar and super friendly staff) at the top of the road, and quite a few other places to eat & drink nearby. Our stay was exceptionally good value due to an unbeatable room rate, perhaps reflecting the need for an update.

SwitzerlandThe staff was not verz motivated, to us it seemed that they are not happy to work there. Wether the welcome nor the goodbye was with a smile or something the like. Otherwise all ok.
It was near the coty center, very comfortable and perfect for a weekend trip for tourists.

ArmeniaFor some reason I had to pay cash for the breakfast and overall they didn't accept credit card for additional services. I was able to pay only for the stay with CC.
Breakfast wasn't included, though I paid separately for it. It costed 16 euros per person. I think for that money it could be better. From hot food there was only omelet with sausages and boiled eggs alongside with some milk and other stuff.

FinlandOur actual room was a bit of a disappointment. Except for the bathroom which was great. The pictures taken of the room were not the same as here on the Bookings website. The room was much smaller and had worn floor carpets throughout. No sofa or kettles visible in the pictures. There was also a same worn floor carpet even on the wall where is the wardrobe located.. The refrigerator was located under the TV in the cupboard, but there was only one socket nearby, so you couldn't watch TV if you wanted to keep the fridge on. The bed was also small for a double bed, only 140 cm. The ventilation and air conditioning in the room did not work properly and we had to keep the window open a lot even though it was winter and December, because otherwise the whole room smelled musty. Still, I would say that the accommodation was not a shock but just ok. The biggest disappointment was when the advertising pictures do not correspond to reality. I think it would be fair to the traveler to let them make choices based on reality.
The location was really good. Several grocery stores and cafes nearby. You could get to the city center and the airport easily by public transport. The staff was always very friendly. We were also able to check into the room in advance, when it happened to be ready. The hotel lobby was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also good and there were many options. The bathrooms were renovated some years ago, i.e. not brand new, but clean and stylish.

RomaniaI stayed for one night and, honestly, the room was quite disappointing. It seems like they were going for a Victorian theme, but it ended up looking old and cheap. A lot of the furniture and decor feel outdated, and some things were actually broken. The walls had marks and stains, which made the room feel less clean than expected. For a quick overnight stay, it was manageable, but given the price and the fact that this is supposed to be a 4-star hotel, I expected a lot more. The place could really use some updates and maintenance to match the cost and rating. Wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay or if you're expecting luxury.
The hotel’s location is quite convenient, being close to the D tram, which gets you to the city center in about 30 minutes.

United KingdomThe staff gave us 1 room much smaller than advertised on booking.com even though there were 2 empty normal sized rooms next to each other. Only changed after we complained. The AC filter was filthy and AC did not cool the room at all. Made it very hot and uncomfortable. Had a bathtub but no plug so you cant use it.
Next to tram station. Decent sized rooms. Cheaper compared to hotels in Vienna.

LithuaniaRoom looks okey, but feels old, there was a little unpleasant smell inside. This underground parking place is really narrow, so You should keep that in mind if You are driving bigger than average car. Also, it costs 20Eur. per night.
Nothing special, but it is quite good value for money. Good breakfast. Not too far from center and tram stop is nearby.
