How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Only 1 paper cup and it was placed over the toilet! Difficult to find so it’d be very helpful to have clear directions. It’d be helpful to have some sturdy shelving (or something) to place suitcase and a few hooks for items.

The hotel staff was incredible friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and comfortable with modern amenities. The Wi-Fi connection was strong and reliable throughout my stay.

I always stay here when I am in Vienna, and have done so for the past five or so years when I am passing through. It represents excellent value for money and the reception staff are awesome. It's located about 10 minute's walk to the HBF main train station. There is a tram, leaving from near the hotel, that goes all the way into the center. Or, you can catch the metro from the HBF. The @ is fast, the beds are comfy, the rooms are spotless clean, and there is a handy temperature regulator on the wall. The shower is also excellent.

The coffee machines (2 of them) were permanently broken. And noone was interested to fix it. Moreover there is no possibilities of pay for breakfast during the reservation via booking.
Clean hotel close to the city center. Good to stay for short visit of Vienna. Staff nice and friendly however the feeiling of speaking with them is that you speak with the nice robot:)

Very small breakfast location for such a big hotel. Breakfast offerings might be improved, particularly by adding hot food

The heating system I think is air-based, which some people, myself included, find very uncomfortable. They also use quite heavy cleaning agents and I had a minor allergic reaction, bit like pollen fever.
The hotel is very competitive, price wise, and has a good location, 5 min walk from the train station. You have the option of self check-in, which is a nice plus if arriving late at night. The room is well furnished and decent size. Walking at night felt safe.

no kettle in room to boil water for tea or coffee. Even though staff were very helpful and efficient to get hot water for me - it would have been nice to have a kettle

A catle to make a tea would be great.

The towels provided by the hotel were thin and the soap/shampoo provided by the hotel was ok but could be improved. Air-conditioned is either too hot that requires the opening of windows.
The location of the hotel was great as it was really close to Vienna's main train station. The hotel provided the bare minimum so it did fulfil its role as a budget hotel.

Very nice room with all the comforts needed. The room was clean and the position is very good (near the D tram station and in a very peacefull area). I would definitely suggest the staying for little trips (3-4 days).

Minimum amenities in room & toilet. For example, no facial tissues. No pot for boiling of drinking water but hot water is readily available via reception.
Breakfast was expensive and it was a continental breakfast. Location is good. 10 mins walk to the Wien HBF. Staff are friendly.
