Fabulous views, hospitable staff, very good breakfast, exceptionally clean. The strenuous walk to and from the village provides further stunning views of Burg Hohenwerfen/Schloss Adler. Highly recommended. Vielen Dank.

Absolutely nothing

Unbelievable price/quality. Never seen so many extras in a room for this price. Coffee/tea, cookies, chocolate, fruit, water etc. Breakfast was amazing too (15 EUR) fresh eggs, smoked salmon and more variety of fruit then many 5 star hotels. And the view over the castle is perfect.

The only inconvenience is the lack of an elevator.

We really liked the location of the hotel, the castle is visible from the dining room. The room is cozy and warm. The bathroom is comfortable. I would like to separately note the breakfast - very aesthetic, tasty and fast. There is a parking lot near the hotel

The only downside was that the bathroom felt a bit dated compared to the rest of the room, and the room itself was a bit snug.

The property had very comfortable beds, and the host was extremely helpful in accommodating us when we were unable to find a late booking. They were incredibly flexible and supportive. The room itself was amazing, with excellent facilities, thoughtful touches like fresh fruit, and an incredible view that was the highlight of our trip.

This was by far a standout overnight stay for us in a magnificent hotel with the most beautiful view of the castle. We were upgraded us to a castle view free of charge which was unexpected but wonderful. A W3 shuttle was also ordered for us in the morning as we couldn't contact them on arrival but thankfully had kind local drive us up to the hotel.

We loved everything about the hotel. Guests driving in are better off as they can be more mobile, the hotel however puts you on to a shuttle service which is good too.

It's like a Gem, set in the sylvan hills of Werfen, with wonderful views of the fort and hills. The breakfast was good with the freshest of fruits and eats. The room was sparkling, their housekeeping is outstanding. Would love to go back to stay again in future.

I have no complaints, the perfect hotel stay.

Absolutely beautiful location. Sits on a mountain opposite castle Hohenwerfen which gives an amazing view during the mornings. Surrounded by mountains with a telescopic view of both the castle and town underneath. Very quiet location as its so high up, great facilities, free wifi worked great. Free tea and coffee available all hours with a large decking outside to enjoy. Breakfast is great. Staff are amazing. Parking is very good. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and came with an amazing bathroom.

Nothing to dislike .....only if you dont have car distance is a little hike to walk.... Also as it is breakfast only so you have to go to the village 2 km away for lunch /dinner. Me and my wife didnt have a car and we liked walking ....but with suitcases it is very difficult ....preferable come in car. Rental car not available in werfen. shuttle is available but with fixed times. Although uncle (host) was very kind to help us and even took extra effort to drop us to the station on the final day at checkout. thank you for being so nice and making the trip worth it.

The noise from outside the room could be heard very clearly.

The breakfast didn't have much variety, but it was very high quality, the room was big and the stuff was very good. The view from the balcony is of actuall castle, which is amazing.

It was hard to communicate with reception ahead of coming and during the stay. It is also difficult to register as forms are online and in German. The lady working there was very kind.

This is a unique place perched on a hill across from an 11th Century castle. Every detail is thought of from comfortable bed to fruits and candies in each room. View on the Alpine landscape, fresh smell of forests and mediaeval fortress is truly beutiful

The room was a tad small - and the bathroom, pretty tiny ;) Luckily there were some public restrooms near the breakfast area which we ended up using more often if we had extra time - they were much more spacious when needing to use the toilet. Breakfast being 15 Euros - we stayed 3 nights so would have ended up paying 90 Euros total if we wanted to. We ended up just buying some bread/croissants from a local bakery and then having coffee in our room.

The location is great for the town of Wurfen - it also has a magical sundeck that looks out toward the castle and the mountains - truly lovely if you catch on a nice day! Our room was great - we had a balcony and a smaller window with a screen that we could open at night, which we loved. Also had a mini refrigerator which was nice to store extra food for lunch. We also deeply appreciated the coffee maker and the hotel refilling our coffee each day. We didn't want to spring for 15 Euros per person breakfast so it was nice that we were still able to do coffee in the room. We also liked our bed and we didn't need much else to stay here for a few nights.
