The hotel is situated on the main street with a lot of traffic all day&night, incl. several tram lines; therefore, despite the triple windows, the rooms facing the street are noisy even with the windows closed. The room I stayed in was quite basic and felt a bit musty (though it was clean), there was only one ceiling light (quite weak) and no bed side lights - impossible to read a book on anything there. There was no kettle, no fridge. The shower in the bathroom was leaking. In general, the room was quite worn out and the reconstruction advertised on the website must have taken place several decades ago.

The staff at the reception was nice and helpful; the breakfast was tasty. The hotel is located conveniently (for my needs) in vicinity of the University and with good connection by public transport or even on foot to the city centre.

Pillows were very uncomfortable, reception closes in the afternoon so when we returned at 6pm there was no one in to ask for more pillows, room cleaning service wasn't great as I don't think they cleaned the room during the 5 days we were there (only adding TP).

The only thing that lets it down a little is the wifi connection, which basically didn’t work whilst we were there.

In an excellent location, a short walk from the Ringstrasse and Schottentor U bahn and tram stop. It’s located in a traditional Viennese building and the bedrooms (singles in this case)are simple but comfortable and well furnished with excellent showers. The breakfast is also excellent, with fresh breads and pastries, cereals, cheese, fruit, eggs etc…and good coffee. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient.

Wifi was not working, at all! Uncomfortable toilet, no space to get in. Lights located upon the bed, are too close, so during your sleep there is possibility to hit it by head or hand! Some loud noise over ventilation!

The heater is not working, I waited for how many hrs in the room with a jacket on though they provided me a portable heater. U will be waken up by the pull and push of the cabinets and voices in the corridors early in the morning. And the worst experience i had, the kitchen staff got mad at me, when I seated in a family table for breakfast. It was already around 9:30 and I think theres not that so much guests. I understand about it but the manner the staff approached me, I find it impolite. I travelled a lot and I havent experienced such thing until then.

The young, blonde lady who welcomed us at the Reception, was very arrogant. Even we are turists, we want to enjoy our trip, and enjoy our Hotel room too. We felt unwanted and uncomfortable, because of her attitude. About the place: The room was extremely cold. We were freezing during the night.

wifi doesn’t work in room 105 (cuts out at the door), a lot of the breakfast options run out by 9am, room 101 absolutely stinks in the toilet and hence the rest of the room if you don’t keep the windows open (it smells like something is rotting), pillows are practically non-existent with how old and not puffy they are, boogers on one of our towels, a very run down building that could use some cheap renovations
