Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyWell the pillows. Me and my friends have been suffering from stiff neck for the last 3 days. The pillows were really awful. And we cannot say that we are satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms 100%.
It was a last minute booking so we did not have many options and the hotel seems lovely, location is good; it is a well connected area. I love the design of the hotel.

ItalyAlmost impossible to reach due to ongoing road maintenance and lack of information shared. 6 am wake up due to insufficient windows protection from road works. No alternative apartment available. Strong smell of rubbish/garbage at the entrance to the apartments. No parking for my vehicle as car park was full. Could continue but... let me finish with this: 90 mins. of delay in check-out - and that was my fault not to inform - and we found all our belongings wrapped together... Clothes with shoes, food, books medicines ... and left in a storage together with cleaning equipment, and bevarages. When I asked for the hotel manager the only results after a short and calm talk with him were his card, and an offer for a future visit ... that will never happen. I have seen, and regularly stays in 4 or 5 star hotels in different countries, in my opinion not worthy to be considered as a 4 star hotel.
The restaurant/brewery worths a visit. The apartment in its own is nice and old-fashioned.

IcelandThe wifi was not good, it was either very slow or not working. The room was tired- the walls and floors definitely need a face lift. The description said that there was a seating area in the room. Well... there wasn't one. In the evenings when we were going to sleep, there was a light switch in front of our window that went on and off. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room. The area around the hotel was nothing special.
The beergarden on the ground floor was excellent and the staff at the hotel was nice. It was easy to take the train downtown from the hotel.

TurkeyRooms don’t have minibar. It’s 40 C out, and no minibar. Air condition is almost not working. Adjusted for the maximum settings and you feel breeze a little bit, just all. We found the trash can in the bathroom not cleaned and it was nearly full. We were not supposed to see this image.
Good location, big facility, bathroom is as big as standart room.

GermanyThe room its self was very basic for 4 stars compared to the hotel its self. The single bed felt very small and I’m used to these as a solo traveller. It would be good to have a kettle, some tea/ coffee sachets as a gesture
The hotel has a really cool vibe being Brewery themed. Nice lobby/ bar / restaurant. The room had a nice bathroom & a good shower. It is well located for Ubahns/ buses/ trams and within walking distance into the city if you wanted to.

UruguayThey didn't specify that breakfast was not included, so when checking out, I had to pay a lot for eating there. This is on me as I didn't ask, but I believe I could have been told so.

UkraineFirstly, the room was very dusty, after I sat on the bed I could see clouds of dust. After I looked under the bed I was horrified. It seems that it had not been cleaned for a month or more. A lot of dust and chewing gum left by someone. Secondly, at the reception they asked me to provide the CVV code, which I consider unacceptable for security reasons. Also all night and morning there was some noise as if a washing machine was working. The windows overlook a light well and literally a meter away you can already see the windows of another room, so we had to spend the whole time with the curtains closed.
The room was quite large. Location is good.

NetherlandsSink was clogged, the door handles were loose and we got a random leakage on a wall. There was a kitchen in the apartment but it was supplied poorly. To get to our apartment we had to go through a square with dumpsters, not the best impression.
The location was quite decent.

AustriaThe safe in the closet is very small, an iPad or laptop does not fit. Also, there is a weird smell in the closet. The lighting in the bathroom is very bad, not sure if it’s to save electricity but I felt like I was showering in the dark.

SwitzerlandOn room was quite spacious where the second room was tiny for the same price. Maybe don’t book people of the same party in to different room classes. The breakfast staff threw us out of the room 10 sharp. The bar closed 10:30 sharp on Wednesday which is kind of explainable. However on Friday as soon as the football game was over they closed again really early. There were still plenty of guests there and coming in.
The location of the Hotel is quite good. 20 minutes by foot/metro from downtown. 10 minutes by tram from Schloss Schönbrunn.

HungaryThe room was nothing like on the picture. I was expecting a lamp next to the desk and a mini-fridge. None of these were provided, and when I went to the reception desk to solve the issue, the person working there wasn't helpful at all. First she didn't believe me and followed me back to my room to prove, that indeed, there should be a lamp and a fridge. Upon seeing the absence of both, she came up with the explanation that the empty cupboard (where the fridge was supposed to be according to the picture) is actually the place to store drinks, but it's purpose is not to cool anything, just to prevent it from getting hotter (??). The lamp was indeed absent, but no replacement could be provided as all rooms were fully booked and there was no spare. So I had the pleasure to spend my nights in a dark and dusty room... Bonus, the "safe" in the room was miniature, you can't fit a laptop in there. The place was dusty and decrepit, would not recommend.
The location of the hotel wasn't bad.
