It's dificcult to arrive if you are not with car, there is only one bus per hour and in the afternoon much less than that. However, I had no car and of course there are some limitations but one can manage to visit Hallstatt and other places by bus.

The place is not thought for someone in my situation but perfect for families or groups. The place is a Sport Center and has several football and tennis courts, among other things (now fully covered with snow), and indoor gym.

Mattresses on the thin side. Transportation to and from the Resort is basically a bus line that runs hourly and we were told only cash .... but on the way back, the driver was telling everyone that no cash was accepted. Luckily we had credit card on us.

Dinner buffet was really good. Limited options but all very tasty. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. Room was huge and so was the bathroom.

Wide range of breakfest. Simple- but clean room with confortable bed and good wifi. The reception and the service staff were very kind and helpfull. Very good price and value rate. The enviorement is breathtaking with high bergs and cosy village.

The room had 3 separate beds and looked more like a summer camp for kids, not a hotel room. The location is acceptable if you have a car, but otherwise the nearest restaurant is a 30 minute walk. The price was rather high, but still cheaper than hotels directly in Hallstatt.

The pool in the mountains is amazing. The sports bar has good pizellas, which are quite enough for a light dinner. Plenty of space for an evening walk around the football fields.

It mainly hosts school students to practice sports. The students used to stay up late at night, which might be a bit noisy to those who sleep early. But we had a lovely experience in obertraun.

We loved the wide space there. The food served contained halal options and a variety of healthy food. Using the facilities was free, we rided bicycles 🚲 😎 and the cafe and restaurant were opened late at night.

This is a wonderful location and fine facility to use as a base for exploring Hallstatt and Dachstein-Krippenstein, both of which are just a few minutes drive away. The staff were incredibly friendly (including when we were about 20 minutes late for our check-in and a kind lady stayed late to meet us). Our family of 5 stayed in two rooms, which were large and very clean. They were essentially nice dorm rooms, each with 3 single beds and a private bath. It is a pretty location with nice views of the mountains. We also appreciated the parking available for our rental car. Hallstatt is about a 5 minute drive up the road. Because we were so close, we were able to get to Hallstatt early in the day to find a good parking spot in Park Platz 2 (very near the funicular up to the salt mine) before the crowds arrived.

I was a bit disappointed that as a Sports Resort, they don't have many sports channels. On the day of my stay there was UEFA Champions League which I was unable to watch because TV didn't have any broadcast.

We thought €25 for a bag of laundry was very expensive but I think its a service they don't normally offer. I.e. they're usually doing laundry for whole sports teams rather than individuals/couples. We'd been cycling for a week up to that point so decided it was worth it on this occasion. We stayed during a heat wave, so the rooms were warm without air con. However the shutters on the windows helped to keep some of the heat out to make it manageable.

The food was great value! The vibe around the place was very relaxed and the staff were able to accommodate our needs for a fee e.g. laundry after a week of cycling. Very comfortable rooms. We were reluctant to stay in the nearby campsites due to negative reviews. That left us with very few options. This was the next cheapest place and ee experienced no negativity here what so ever.

Excellent value for money! Tidy room with spacious bathroom, reading chair and comfy bed, desk and TV. Situated a few minutes from the shores of Lake Hallstatt. Delicious buffet breakfast and very accommodating staff.

When we arrived, it was really, really quiet. Birds were chirping. Beware - young athletes may stay here (well, it IS a sports resort), so one looking for quietness may be disturbed by the noises from stadiums. We were fine. I would gladly come here for a week or two, to enjoy the nature, the hikes, the lake, the air.
