Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ItalyLet’s be honest, it is not for everyone. This hostel is a capsule style hostel in which each bed has a door to completely seal you from your roomates. I like it, but clearly not everyone enjoyed it as some of my roommates sleep with open door (and yes, you can still hear all the snores). Admittedly it can be a bit claustrophobic. I put 9 because of the capsule design. The sliding door was not smooth on my first stay that I ended up waking everyone up at midnight. Secondly, the design of the sliding is such that there is a rather sharp railing that can be painful for your bottom tigh when you are sitting in bed with legs outside esp when putting on shoes etc. An an additional note, the room can be rather hot during summer night due to no AC. Although the hostel provides an electric fan, when the window is kept open for circulation it can be quite loud because for some reason there is always people making noises outsiede. These are small inconveniences though, I would still stay here next time I pass by Wien.
I don’t think I have ever seen such an efficient hostel. I think what I love the most about this place is how everything is automated and there is absolutely need to meet people. It is especially great if you are coming after midnight only to crash before leaving early in the morning. The system is absolutely automated, which I love. The location, you can’t really beat it. It is right in front of the Hbf and there is an escalator to the subway (and connects to the hbf through an underground passageway) right in front of the door. The common room also have a simple kitchen and a vending machine that really helps if you arrive after midnight. The staff had been great too! I booked my stay for the wrong month and they are willing to change it, although I booked non-refundable through booking.com. IT had been a great experience!

China1 It takes your time to understand the self-check-in system. 2 There's not always staff in the public area. If you have any questions, you cannot find someone easily.
1 The location is just three minutes from the train and bus station. 2 The public area and kitchen are big and clean. 3 You have a capsule in your room, good privity.

PakistanThe bunk beds were very small the foam was uncomfortable and it was hard to breath in there. The owner should rethink and change the design of the bunk beds and make them like the hostels elsewhere. May be they were trying to give privacy but the bunk beds were extremely small and very very hot during my stay. There was no air conditioning either just small fans which were not adequate
The contact-less check in was good and location was just a few steps from the central train station

Czech RepublicIn my room we had two ventilators but it was not possible to put them in right position to direct to my bad, since no electrical power on wall opposite my bed and no long cabbies. So I slept in very hot stifling capsule first night (even when windows were fully opened) Also you must be very careful when you climb to upper bad. I would like to suggest to install extra handle inside of capsule close to light on upper bad.
Locality is great, just remember that no possible to buy food in any market on Sunday, even inside railway station. But you can find fast food. Belvedere park is very closed. Every morning I did yoga in this park. Early morning running inside fantastic park with palaces and fountanes are excellent and unforgettable. Many people was running there. Also I like people who stay in this hostel, they are educated, calm, not making noise. Clean kitchen is very good equipment (even grill pan), I grilled fresh fish for a 10 minutes ! I was worried about automatic check in, but it was fast solved just I ask person ( who arrived early than me) to show me which code is for opening capsule bad. It is not understandable from email. I thing that 4 numbers are easy to remember, not necessary to take out your mobile with you if you leave room. I like panoramic windows in reception/kitchen.

Czech RepublicThe beds were terrible. There was some plastic on the bad and the cover was sliding away, which made impossible to sleep. There were metallic borders on the bed, which were scratching our legs. Moreover, there were no curtains and city lights and noise didn't let us sleep.
The only advantage was the location.

NetherlandsIt was really noisy. The hostel can't help it if there are loud guests, but the worst was the sliding doors. We had a double room under a dorm room and the doors were so loud you could feel the vibration in the bed. First time we thought it was an earthquake:') This went on all night. The bed was really squeaky at the slightest touch, which is really annoying with two people. It also wasn't very comfortable, the matras was indented. There were only two plugs, one of which reserved for the fan, which did not cool the room down enough (no AC). There was a really weird smell in the room. There was no furniture so one could sit on the bed, the other on the floor. We booked two nights but left after one. We expect a 'budget room' (still €53) not being the greatest, but at the end of the day you need to be able to sleep and we could not.
The location is excellent, nearby the train station and the U1 metro. The common areas were clean. The kitchen was nice. We appreciated the self check in process. Wifi was good.

GermanyWhen you are in the top bed and you have an a****** in your room, she or she can terrorize you with keeping on the main light on. If it's not a problem for you, go f*** yourself!
Oh my god, where to start? First of all, if you read your emails carefully, you don't have to speak a word to anyone and still have all the access to toilet bath kitchen and especially your room and your bed. (It is as if someone really fought it all through) The room, I had a room of six, was quite small but still quite and tidy and comfortable especially with the capsule like beds that have their own digital key to open and close. The private sphere you have in these capsule beds is very refreshing and very nice. Can close yourself in and don't have to see anyone. Still you have lights and electricity and quite big space to roll around. I'm in my forties and this hostel was frequented by bunch of young people with very colorful hair, I love it. In the morning, I have all the comfort of your ein kitchen kann man make your on the coffee or your eggs and Toast. Also have a quite large fridge, where you have to protect your food by force from hungry hangovers ( that are not your own). Still worth it! Next time I will visit with my kid and let it fight for its own Survival regarding the fridge XD

PolandA storage room is not supervised at all, everyone can walk in and take something from this room. The door to enter the room was open, so I decided not to put my staff there and I was walking with my backpack before check-in.
The hostel is next to the railway station. The distance between the hostel and the city center is walkable but be prepared for 30 min walk. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we really enjoyed self-check-in, but we saw that a few people had trouble with checking in.

GermanyThe service was dismal (no one was there when we arrived, even though the check-in procedures and finding the appropriate rooms wasn't straightforward at all), online-check-in overly complicated, rooms like cells with beds as wooden cages. We booked a different place and left. Don't stay here.
The rooms are terrible. The beds are literally wooden cages that can be locked. Someone else who came into the room asked me whether this was the luggage storage, and he wasn't joking. I don't see how anyone would like staying here.

BrazilRooms are very small and there is no air conditioning. Beds are a closed wooden box (more like a coffin). So, during summer, it is impossible to sleep. It gets extremely hot in the room and if you are closed inside the wooden box, it is just not possible to sleep at all. The solution suggested by the staff was: "open the window". Which is laughable, as the window was already fully opened and it was still impossible to sleep for a single minute. I had to find a hotel to be able to sleep and the staff refused reimbursing me after I requested to cancel my stay there. If it is summer time, save you the hassle and the money and find some place else. Maybe during winter it is possible to stay there, but surely not during summer.
The location is okay.

SwedenVery bad WiFi, 1.5 Mbit/s down, 1 Mbit/s up. You had to make one's bed oneself, and the sheets were not mangled or ironed. It was impossible to get a smooth bed on the plastic mattress. It was a mess. You need to remember so many codes - to the common areas, to your bedroom, to your bed. You easily get locked out if you forget one. So you'd better bring your phone to the shower. A lot of emails were sent which just made it confusing.
The hostel is very new, clean and very well-conceived. The showers are small but well planned. They were amazing. The location is perfect - just a minute's walk from the main station.
