How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

There was a problem with the card who unlock the door, you should try several times to unlock the room. The last evening some guys heavily drunk, was literary sreaming at the reception, offer me an alcohol with very undecent manners and language in front of the girl of the reception, obviosly they were friends that so she didnt say a word about that. A girl with short blonde hair. Please take care of cases like this, it stops me to give highest score for your hotel, thank you for the hospitality once again
The location is good, reception staff ok, room was just like on the pictures, clean towels every day

Noise isolation, could hear what neighbors were doing, everytime someone was leaving rooms, people talking in the halls

The room is quite small for six people. The day we arrived until the next morning, there was no more hairdryer available:(

Bathroom is kinda small. The bed is really uncomfortable, very soft and I was ‘sinking’ in the middle of the mattress. Probably needs to be changed, I couldn’t sleep properly either night of my stay.
Cozy, clean room and bathroom. Great location near the Stadthalle where I was going to a concert. Within walking distance to public transport and various tourist attractions. Friendly staff.

Corridor/neighbors noisy, doors are very loud and walls are thin. Take your complimentary earplugs at the lobby!
Close to Wiener Stadthalle and train station. Comfortable double bed. Complimentary earplugs.

Small but cozy rooms, helpful staff. We booked payed in advance haven't ran into any problems. Location is good. Close to subway and tram it didn't take long to get to city center by those.

Pillows and bed materials are not enough good I couldn't sleep well and also their ladders also too much you should carry less luggage to your comfort.

The stuff was very friendly and helpful. I got an earlier check in, which was important for me as I was coming from the airport after a night flight. I could also store my luggage for free after check out.

One of the guys in the room came back to the room heavily drunk. He was shouting, snoring, and talking loudly in his sleep. Well, nobody else could sleep that night/morning. It was really unfortunate...
There is no better combo between price and location.

No lift, we we're at the 3rd floor.
Price was really nice for a private room with bathroom, wasn't that close to some of the main locations but it is really close to the tram/subway and bus station.

Safety isn't a top priority. I was lucky to have awesome roommates, otherwise it would've been a very uncomfortable experience.
The rooms are very clean. The hostel has both outdoor and indoor spaces to chill, and very nice coffee.

Bed was not comfortable Bathroom: lights are turned on by a sensor, so you will be in the dark while you are on the shower/toilet - this was very annoying There is no shower head holder (they say it’s to save water…), so you need to hold the shower head all the time
Location is good, near enough a metro station with loads of shops
