How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Woud be good to have conditioner in rooms. We had ventilator, it helped a little.
Big room and location close to public transport and local food shops. Good breakfast.

Actually there was nothing we didn't like, the hotel was generally old but very clean and had a very nice breakfast.
We checked in late at a hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We had no problems.

There are no views from the widows (not an issue for us) and the complimentary soaps were harsh. Definitely advise bring your own shampoos.
It was a really comfortable base, the beds were soft and it was very quiet at night. Excellent restaurants close by. Breakfast can be eaten outside on tables surrounded by trees and plants when the weather is good. We liked the home made art work which decorated the rooms and corridors, it gave the hotel a unique identity.

Good Cheap Hotel. Close-ish to airport and city center, close to metro station. The only think I thought was expensive was the private parking (17Euro/night), but besides that, everything good. Breakfast was also good if you are staying 1 or 2 days.

There were a few variety of drinks and snacks available for purchase.
The garden was so good and the atmosphere was perfect. And also the breakfast was perfect and so delicious in there.

Garten und Kunsthotel Gabriel in Erdberg suburb is a place I can recommend for staying. It is simple, but with all basic amenities. The room (3 people) was big enough, clean and quiet. The breakfast was good. The connection to the center is fine, but we decided to walk (30-45 minutes, depends where to...). It is a good place to stay if you're going to events in Gasometer. Great value for money.

the rooms look better in the picture, a bit of the 80's retro, but to spend the day out and the night in the hotel, it is OK
good location if you want to reach the airport it is close to the train and there are many grocery shops in the area. A great breakfast

Room, we booked a superior but I don’t consider a superior the room we received. The carpet really needed a deep cleaning and the room was missing the principal things.

The hotel had really friendly staff and it was a short distance to the center. The breakfast was also good. Finding a parking space for the car was a bit challenging.

Excellent hotel. Great service The room was very spacious, clean, and had the amenities we needed. Breakfast was delicious and with many choices; it was a very wide buffet spread. The people in the reception were very helpful, not just on checkin and checkout, but also in giving directions to spots. The location is great- not to far from metro station and only five stops to famous Opera building. I would recommend to friends, and will definitely stay again if Im back in Vienna.

The room was very hot and there is no air conditioning as it is an old building. Before I realized I could adjust the battery the nights were rather hot. The cleanness was not top class but a good average. It was a bit inconvenient that there was no kettle in the room and if you wanted tea/coffee you had to get to the reception which was over the courtyard. There was no fridge in the room either. Then again the room was not hugely expensive either so I guess you get what you pay for.
The hotel is not luxurious but a good basic hotel. The breakfast is good continental breakfast. The paintings on the walls give it a nice atmosphere and the hotel was quiet.
