How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

I think the rooms could have been a bit cleaner
The location was perfect with public transport just outside, supermarket was close, lovely bakery and restaurant very close by. Also the main hotel has a lovely terrace to sit and relax in at night and in the mornings catching beautiful sunlight. The hotel reception staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. They made my stay!

Two flights of stairs was difficult with luggage and an arthritic knee. No fault of the establishment, though.

Location was a bit far walking distance from the center, but there were good connections by bus.
Excellent and varied breakfast. Hotel was cozy and beautifully decorated, staff were super nice and always ready to help.

Having to go around to find smaller hotel which was hard to find. Could not speak to anyone at reception there and after arriving at 11pm everything was done by robot and then I had to pay city tax also on the machine. I couldn't get back into the building or my room after going to the bakery as my keycard wouldn't work...this was before check out time. If I wanted breakfast I would have had to walk to the other building.
Nice comfy bed with space in bathroom and tv with lots of channels

they provide limited number of paper cups though it is part if bigger Max hotel which is just a walk from this property, for every small requirement you have to walk over there. No lift available , if you are travelling with large suitcase then it could be a challenge.
the location was good, Salzburg has a good public transport system and bus stop is in walking distance. cleanliness was good. it is a self check in check out property

The room was a bit on the small side (it was a double, I'd imagine particularly so if there were 2 people). The self check-in worked perfectly, though I might have been a bit anxious about this if my arrival had been late at night.
I had an earlyish flight and the hotel was located perfect for the airport, just 5 minutes on the bus (but not so close to the airport that there was any associated noise !); the same bus route 2 running up to every 10 minutes to the main train station and historic centre. The room was modern and spotlessly clean with all the facilities expected.

It was such a small bathroom, could barely move around, the sink was located outside of the bathroom. I found it too far from the city center. No elevator.

My room was the 609, and time to time I heart a drilling noise all the day I dont know what it was, but it was a bit disturbing
The room was equipt with a water heater for making tea and coffee.

Service was not good enough, every day you have to call the reception for towels, toilet paper etc. Location is not ideal. Remember no elevator. Self check in is also not simple, for two rooms you need to add info two times and pay two times, then rooms allocated randomly. Facilities were ok but not according to price.
Rooms were clean, few free parking places in front of hotel. Guy at the reception was very nice, although reception is in other hotel.
