It's a little bit weird old hotel. Room was very cold when I arrived in September. And there are hundreds of dead big flies in the staircase area

This is a good little highway stop. It took us a moment to work out the self checkin however it was easy once we knew how.

From the moment we arrived till in the morning, the heater was ice cold. Fortunately, I woke up in a warmer room than the one I went to sleep in.

The location was easy to find, very clean room and bathroom, self check in, located in a silent area.

The automatic check in is very praticle but in the end, we didn't meet any single person during our stay. We arrived around 12 and thought we would eat at the restaurant for lunch but it was closed and empty

The hotel is located quite a long way outside the town, and there are no facilites like restaurants, bars and cafes nearby. This is though fine, if like us you are just passing through. It's a bit strange not meeting any staff throughout the whole duration of the stay.

The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Automated checkin went smoothly, and has the advantage that you can arrive any time.

Commenters raved about the breakfast but it was very basic (bread, coldcuts, cheese). Quality was still good but not what I expected.. One morning, even with several guests, there was not enough food or bread laid out and I arrived 3 minutes after opening. 'Fresh' bread came out 20 minutes later but it was still frozen on the inside. It was also too expensive for what it was (10 Euro per adult, 5 Euro per child). This seems like the type of breakfast that should be included in the price for stay. Also, charging 11.5 Euro for a bottle of flat water because 'it was for 3 people' seemed ridiculous considering the (very delicious) hamburger we ordered was the same price.

I liked the room. It was clean and large. However, North Americans take note: the bed is advertised as a king but it actually a double (smaller than queen) and is made up of 2 separate single mattresses. Also, the food for dinner at the restaurant was excellent and well-priced. I also loved that it was close to the trail along the river. Staff was helpful and pleasant.
