Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI am a sucker for 'quaint' stays whose architecture is a bit artistic/in line with the town's history - this did not quite fit the bill of my personal 'ideal' stay, all the same it was very clean, very spacious, and was really all I needed for a nice 30-hour layover stay in Vienna. No complaints except that it was difficult to find my room coming in at night (before midnight) as the emergency door was shut, cutting the corridor to my room. I couldn't remember if I could get through that door or not but after a few tugs and no alarm bells, determined that it was the right door to pull and I could find my room.
Surprisingly very spacious, very large beds and clean. Basic amenities, lots of mirrors, and easy access to the Ringstrasse. The closest U-Bahn is closed, but there is one maybe a 10+ minute walk away - if you have large bags, I recommend you leaving them at the airport for layovers.

IsraelOur twin room was too small, besides it was very hot - It would be nice if there was at least a fan in the room!
Breakfast and location are very good!! The hotel is situated about 15-20 min walking from the Hofburg. We would stay at this hotel again but in another kind of room.

United KingdomParking - the staff didn't give easy directions as to where to buy a ticket for roadside parking or explain that you can download an app to do it - I learned this from a very helpful lady who was on a bike!! Lack of A/C - I knew there wasn't any from other comments, just didn't realize that the rooms are not airy. A fan might have assisted.
The location was great, near to a tram stop and a few shops for amenities.

GreeceThe rooms didn’t locked. the key that opened our room was the same as the central door of the hotel. so Every guest of the hotel could get in our room any time, even when we were in the room we couldn’t lock our door. That was a big problem for us.
the breakfast was very good and with a variety of things to eat. Better than we expected .

HungaryThe room didn't have an AC which made us disappointed as it was very hot and our room was on the top floor. Although parking was among the offered facilities, it turned out it was referring to the possibility to park on the streets around the place for which you have to pay during weekdays.
The room was spacious, the location was great - right in the heart of Wien. The breakfast was delicious and offered a good variety. The historic elevator was an extra.

PolandWe stayed in the hotel in the middle of July 2022 where the temperatures every day were above 35 degrees Centigrade, no a single drop of rain or wind. The air conditioning in the room and the bathroom would be so much welcomed, unfortunately there was none. But we survived :o)
The hotel is very close to the city centre, cosy and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lift with a comfortable sofa inside from 1913 (or 1930?) is just something else! The breakfast was fresh and tasty. We liked coming back to the hotel after the whole day of sightseeing :o)

AustriaThere is nothing to complain about
The hotel is excellently located near Rathaus, which is at the Ring (city center) and easy to reach by local transport. Reception is highly welcoming, very helpful and always friendly. The rooms are equipped with lovely details and also very useful furniture, for storing luggage, hanging up clothes, etc. and very clean. The breakfast buffet has a nice choice of food and the coffee is really good. It gets very crowded on weekends but that's the case at almost every hotel.

SlovakiaInstead of a queen-sized bed, they put together two separate beds, which was slightly uncomfortable as it was shifting the whole night. Our room was in front of the elevator, so it was a bit noisy.
The hotel room was nice and cozy, with everything that we needed. The rooms were clean, and the receptionist was friendly and prompt. The price included a tasty breakfast. We stayed for two nights, and it was a great experience. Definitely worth the price.

RomaniaIt is a very pleasant location, with a lot of quiet, close to public transport. Breakfast is good and plentiful. The owner is very kind and pleasant. Because check-out is at 11 a.m. and we only had the plane at 10 p.m., he let us store our luggage at the hotel until 6 p.m. So we were able to visit something without taking care of our luggage.

United KingdomNothing really. I could have used the missing line in the shower, and some would like air conditioning, I don’t.
Everything was fine. Room was quite spacious, bathroom and shower roomy enough, with a shelf for wash bags etc., good extractor. Plenty of hangers, wardrobe space, and hooks for outdoor coats. We found sockets behind tv and in window. Breakfast very good, with fruit and nice jams. The lift is wonderful. Location, near parliament and Ring, not too far from Hoffburg.
