Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Armeniaibis is like the Wizzair of hotels, so expect to ask additionally, if you need basic things like extra soap or hair-blower, which is not a surprise. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel is that the internet is basically paid. You need to pay money to get functional WiFi, but was even worse, the web interface of that system was extremely bad and it was not even possible to pay for it. The moment you need to verify the Visa/MasterCard payment and you tap on your messages or emails to get the OTP code, the paid' wifi's pop-up window will disappear and never come back. They might need to look into this issue. I tried to pay for wifi but ended up buying a roaming package instead.
I have no complaints at all, and probably now I'm going to stay in this hotel every time I'm in Vienna. First of all, it has an AC, which you won't find if you rent apartments. While rooms here are small and very economical (for example I had a sink with water and shower cab just in the middle of the room, instead of the bathroom, while the toilet seat was the only thing separated from the room), it has a pretty smart structure with spaces under the beds and staff, which is totally fine if you are a single traveler who stays for few days. The location was pretty nice, it is possible to even walk to the Stefanplatz area, It was maybe 1.5 km, but of course, there was a U-bahn near the hotel. The location was very quiet and empty, despite being located in a pretty business area (probably because nowadays most people work from home). Also, the room had tons of power outlets everywhere, which was perfect, unlike in legacy classic hotels.

SloveniaWould have preferred if there was refillable liquid soap at the sink (like the ones in the shower) because soap bars are not reusable.
The location was excellent!! A very quiet neighbourhood with great connections. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay there again on my next trip!

AustraliaMany things. We were 3 sleeping in one room and only one sit. Only one. So it was very uncomfortable. We had to give a deposit to use the air drier. No table or mean to place clothes, only 3 hangers. I have been in many Ibis and Ibis Budget in this trip to Europe and this one was the worse by far.
Breakfast was fine

ItalyFront desk staff professional but there is one lady who is very annoyed when you ask questions. At times answers are not efficient for instance info regarding the parking. Had to ask few times to have the complete picture Bedroom sucks. Ok it is a budget hotel but why the hell you put sensored light in the toilet. Makes no sense. When you sit to take some time to relieve the light goes off so you have to move to turn it back on. Makes no sense. No hand towel No shower carpet Pillows are embarassing might as well not put them. Slim as a cotton foils Garage is 4 mins walk from the hotel and it is not easy to access when the gate is closed Not the cleanest hotel i have ever been to

New ZealandThe corners of the floor may have been missed being cleaned, but overall the room was clean.
The location was perfect for us, away from the main tourist crowds, but easy to get to all the main sights using the metro. The neighbourhood was interesting, safe, and having the Prater park nearby was a bonus. Very quiet at night. The room was ok and the bed comfortable. The guy at reception when we checked in was excellent. We would stay here again.

AustriaDoors didn't work properly on most doors on our floor. Several people including us regularly had difficulties unlocking our doors. While we did get it open, it almost never worked on the first try, which was really anjoying. Seeing at least 4 other rooms on the same floor have the same problem didn't make it better and really diminished our opinion of the hotel. Having the shower inside the bedroom and the toilet behind an non-lockable door are also questionable decisions, but that we knew before we booked.
