Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IsraelHi, I stayed with you twice, the first time there was no hot water kettle or coffee maker or toothbrush or water in the room. All of these things were there the second time I stayed. Even when I asked for a coffee maker or hot water kettle they said they didn't have them in the hotel, which turned out to be untrue because the second time they did have these things in the hotel. Other than that, everything was excellent and thank you for everything.

SerbiaThe elevator was out of service for two days, and we were on the 5th floor, it felt uncomfortable carrying the suitcases. There was also a shortage of hot water, but we saw a notice about it, so I assume it was temporary. What I found odd was that housekeepers entered the room several times while we were still in bed around 9 a.m. We were hoping to sleep a bit longer because we felt tired. I would have preferred if no one had entered the room while we were still inside.
The hotel’s location is good, we took walks to the city center. The receptionists were incredibly friendly, nice and smiling. The room was very clean, small but warm and cozy, and had everything we needed for a short stay.

BulgariaThe shower gel in our room finished at our first evening, and was changed on the fourth day of our stay by my request. Our room wasn’t that comfortable because of the sloping ceiling. Although the rooms were “cleaned” every day, the floor was not clean, we were placing our shoes behind the front door. When the shower gel was changed the whole floor was on dirty steps… on Sunday morning there was not any water, after a few hours the cold water “showed up” and at the evening when we came back there was a hot water. One of the elevators broke down and there was a long wait for an elevator in the morning. I stayed in Ibis hotel before in Hamburg, Germany and it was much better. No refund was suggested for the inconvenience.

SpainVery few things included in the price of the stay. We paid a very high price for parking and also for breakfast, which was convenient. However, the bedroom was really small and we not even had a minibar available to store some food. Considering that breakfast was not included, I would say that would be nice to have a minibar to store a yogurt or cheese to do a quick breakfast if I didn't want to eat in the hotel.
The location was good and the hotel was pretty.
