How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very small rooms with nowhere to put luggage and only a few hooks and clothes hangers, no tea/coffee making facilities
Good location for either walking or catching the tram from right outside the hotel. Very fresh, clean, modern and new hotel, good breakfast, windows that blocked the street noise.

Rooms are small but enough for 2 nights trip. There is no water or slippers in the room. There is only one hand soap in the room and it is expected to use it for hand, body or hair.
Rooms are clean, hotel location is 600-800 metre to the metro station

The bed wasn't very comfortable and my back was hurting me in the morning. Another thing that is not good is the orientation of the toilet that is far away from the shower. This is very strange, is happening mostly in Vienna and I cannot understand the reason. For some people like me, that I came for work, I need a chair to sit and work in the room. Stool is not a good idea for the desk in the room.
What I like is that I can find everywhere hotels from Ibis group with the same facilities, clean, good design, hot water all day, very good coffee and excellent breakfast!! I like that the room is cleaned every day, there is desk in the room to work and the temperature in the room that is always the right one (big benefit).

The staff who work at the bar/reception weren't the friendliest, but probably due to stress and overwork
Really clean and nice rooms, I especially liked the extras like the personal care sets, slippers etc. and of course the complimentart cofee.

The location of the hotel is good, it is not central located but we enjoyed walking by the river on the way to center. The double room is decent size and it is OK for short visits (2-3 nights).

There was no restaurant on site and the air conditioning barely worked. This hotel was not really close to anything.

There’s no door on the bathroom shower area, just to the toilet. A door to the whole bathroom would be better.
Nice hotel tucked away close to the city centre. Clean and comfortable with a reasonable breakfast selection. Tram stop on line 0 very close

It is a bit stripped down in terms of what it offers.
This is a good hotel for a city break, having good value for money. Also the location is pretty good.

Quite far out from the main tourist sites (about 35 min walk) and sometimes quite loud as but a semi fast road.
Basic clean rooms with a nice bar in the lobby, so pretty good for a 2 night stay in Vienna. Pretty easy to get to centre by metro.

it is a bit far from the center, however not a big issue, you can walk and enjoy the nice view of river. Wish there was a refrigerator.
The room was clean, I was able to leave my luggage there and go to the city bcz we arrived super early. It was comfortable, shower has no doors LOL, but its okay.

The breakfast at Ibis Hotel in Vienna was exceptional. The variety of fresh pastries, cheeses, and hot dishes was impressive, catering to all tastes. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, and the coffee was rich and aromatic. The dining area was clean and inviting, with friendly staff providing excellent service. Overall, it was a delightful way to start the day, and I highly recommend it to anyone staying at the hotel.

Excellent location, right in front of the hotel are the means of public transport, if you have also installed their application you can get anywhere. Good breakfast, great idea related to breakfast to stop using small packets of butter for example.

A bit too far from the city center and train stations.

The entrance to the parking lot is very narrow, winding and sloping, which we only realised upon arrival. We managed to park without scratches only with the help of parking assistants.
