The room assigned to us have windows opening to the road. We have to close the windows to reduce the road noise. It cool during the days we visit. It might be a problem in summer as they do not have AC.

The spa is very nice and comfortable.

I liked everything. There was nothing to dislike. Just a suggestion, the breakfast started at 7.30. For some plans made early in the day, an early start of breakfast would help. But this is not bad at all. The 7.30 start is very punctual. So that did help very much.

We loved that this place was so kid friendly! There was a play place for small children that our 2 year old granddaughter loved! Our rooms were comfortable. Gabi was so accomodating and helpful! Each morning at breakfast our table was ready for us with a highchair. We enjoyed everything we ate at the restaurant for dinner. I especially loved the spatzle and the wiener schnitzel. While staying here, we visited the Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau Castle, Ehrenberg Castle ruins, and the suspension footbridge, and the Hotel Maximilian was a great location!

The bed was a little firm, and our shower water pressure was very low, but it was a fair trade-off considering how outstanding everything else was.

Very friendly and attentive staff. The owner introduced herself and shook our hands. She also gave us ideas for things to do in the area. The food is amazing, and the location is beautiful. Would definitely stay here again and again.

The television in our room didn't work (we didn't report it as we weren't really bothered about watching t.v.!) and my husband found the bed a bit too firm (but we're being very picky here!)

A quiet, traditional, family-run hotel with an attentive and kind host who even helped us to avoid the worst of the traffic on our homeward journey. Its location is great if you love hiking (which we do) and our room was warm and comfortable with a fantastic shower!

Family ran property that made you feel at home. Very welcoming and helpful. Gabby was a wonderful host that made you feel at home. Our whole group wanted to return just to spend more time at the hotel and enjoy the gorgeous views.

CLEAN! Friendly staff, especially Gabi who wore many hats as one of the owners! The food was delicious for breakfast and dinner! Thank you, Monika! The atmosphere was relaxed yet professional. The staff is top notch ready to help you but they didn't pressure us, either. They are gracious and relaxed but somehow they are quick to serve your needs. Cool! Thank you, Gabi! You have a wonderful staff. We never felt rushed or pressured to do this or that. The young brunette girl waitress was very pleasant as was the other owner, Monika who I believe is in charge of the kitchen and all dining. We were lucky to hear a live band play authentic Austrian/German music. We really enjoyed the music! Monika and Gabi are sister-in-laws. Sara in the office was very patient answering all of my email questions, too. Thank you! If you are looking for a CLEAN, safe, reasonably-priced gem of a hotel with delicious food to savor your vacation, Hotel Maximilian will be your best bet! The room was just right! We liked having a balcony with chairs and a little table to just gaze at the mountains that surorund the hotel. The bar lounge area was comfy as were the restaurant seats and the outdoor patio. It was an easy drive to see Lake Plansee and Oberammagau and Fussen in Germany to see Ludwig's famous Cinderella Castle. Don't miss this hotel treasure if you are in the Ehenbichl/Reutte - Tyrol area. We only had 3 nights. Next time we will stay for at least one week! We never even got to hike by Lake Plansee. NEXT time! Thank you Gabi and Monika!

Hotel Maximilian is a wonderful place to stay! The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. I found our room to be clean and comfortable with modern updates. The room had a separate area for the kid's bunk bed and there was also a charming attached outside deck with seating. The included breakfast was outstanding! You can also dine in the evening and I found the menu options to be very appealing. Our stay was a great experience!

1. As in all bad hotels, there was no kettle in the room and tea and coffee machines were simple, there was no bottled water, etc. 2. Tired of the guests and annoyed by the hostess of the hotel, who works at the reception, all requests to give a pillow to a child, for example, for money, performed with great irritation and discontent. 3. Screaming at other kids who were just playing in the hotel 4. As a result, a simple cheap roadside motel, the whole atmosphere of which is spoiled precisely by the owner of the hotel, oddly enough. And yes, when leaving - no polite words were said to us - such as goodbye, good roads, etc.. A very low level of education and services as a result
