How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

There is nobody at the door, only an auto-checking machine, so very impersonal. Also in my room, the shower door didn't close so I needed to take it with one hand and have the shower with the other.
Very new hotel with comfortable, located out of the main road, so very quiet.

The self-check-in process was disrupted because my booking through booking.com was not recognized—either the motel or booking.com failed to provide the correct access code. However, this issue was quickly resolved through the motel's hotline. Unfortunately, finding a full trash bin in the bathroom was a bit of a letdown.
The room and bed were comfortable, and the hotline staff provided professional assistance throughout the self-check-in process. This no-frills accommodation is perfect for business travellers seeking convenience and simplicity.

A little bit loud stay - there are railway tracks in the vicinity, and in every 10-15 minutes there is an incoming train. No aircon in the room.
Good value for money. Nice interior, contactless check in. Free parking on spot.

The room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke, and the was quite a bit of black mould in the corners of the shower. Other than that, it was very pleasant. Just one point for improvement, the music played on the hallway was perceivable all night even through the closed door, didn't bother me too much, but turning it off overnight might be a good idea. But still very good value for money
Very good value for money. The check-in was very easy and clear. The location was also awesome. The beds were comfy and parking spots are available right in front of the door.

Check-in is drama. Needed to provide many details at a machine at the front door which could been asked beforehand via web-form. When you book 2 rooms for 4 persons you need to go through this 3 or 4 times. The machine was far from intuitive and it took a while in the cold to get 2 badges to enter the hotel. It's a new hotel, but no temperature control in the rooms. Was much too warm. Bathroom door was broken, shower door fell open constantly, mattresses are not more than foam . For a new facility a bit disappointing.
Limited but free parking in front of the hotel.

It was too hot in the Room and I had to sleep with the Windows Open. The Hotel is next to a busy Train-station and that made it really loud with the Trains going by when the windows were open! No elevator is not good either. If you are on the 3rd floor you have to carry all of your stuff up and downstairs. My luggage was very heavy.

My staying was splendid, the host really went all the way to help me with everything that I asked for. They were extremely kind. The room was so much better than I expected and check-in simple abd without any problems!

Lots of spots were dirty like the fridge or shower or floor. No elevator. Smelled like weed. Kitchenette was very poorly staffed. No big mirror. Not enough parking places. Water didn‘t really turn hot in the shower.
Comfy bed. Spacious.

We took a night to have a break in our 14h drive from Italy. We cared more about taking a shower than sleeping in bed. When we arriived around midnight and checked in (one of the worst self-check-in system we've ever experienced) it appeared there were NO TOWELS in the bathroom so we COULD NOT TAKE A SHOWER! We tried to contact the staff both by mail and phone but with no effect!!! Even until today we did not get any answear to our mail. Actually we do not wait for any worthless apologies since we feel like we lost our time and money there! The motel is in the style of Formula1 or Ibis Budget, but with nobody to complain to! Instead, you listen to some stupid music coming the whole night firm the corridor speakers that would not let you sleep. Next time we'll take one of the private guesthouses that are a numerous around. Same money, but real people who maybe will help you to solve the problems like ours!

I had to redo my check in at the kiosk for some reason. Possibly just user error. Having a water / coffee / tea pot would have been better than theNepsresso mching for me. Having a small variety of snacks in the room would hav ebeen nice due to late arrival and early departure. Microwave would have been nice for the saem reason. Would recommend a vending machine. A mix of soft drinks, mixed crinks, beer, snacks, sandwiches, salad, desert would be a differentiator. And, likley add to revenue.
Automated check in was efficient. Reduced price as a result made this a preferred location. Decided to drive considerably out of may way to stay here becuase of the clear loction, price, and quality. The shower was very nice and larger than I expected for a unit that was otherwise efficiently small. Appreicated teh separte room for toilet and bathing in such a small unit.
