How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Facilities could be better. No utensils or plates in the room. No brush either which made self cleaning challenging. Air conditioning could be better but more a function of the time we stayed. Washing machine and dryer facilities poor in terms of value for money and ease of use. Lack of Staff experience levels in various interactions evident.
Location, close to the underground, Carmelite market which has nice restaurants and Augarten which has nice walks and playgrounds

Basically it is a low cost student hostel. In my opinion, it is not for tourists, as it is away from city center and no air conditioner. We struggled a lot without air conditioner. We spent Saturday & Sunday in this accommodation. There is no milk available in the accommodation. When we enquired, staffs informed that, we should buy from super markets. But on Sunday all nearby shops were completely closed. So no milk for coffee or tea.
Staffs are really good and helpful. It is very clean.

Guests should note that during hot summers the hotel provides fans for cooling. Everything else is perfect!
Great place for a city trip! Extremely clean rooms, bathroom and all common areas in the hotel. The hotel team is incredibly kind and attentive to guests and makes sure their stay at the hotel meets their expectations.

We had an absolute horrible stay because the hotel doesn't have airco. We were tired from the road and inside it was just a sauna, we couldn't sleep one bit and we were worried for the baby as well who was just suffering. These are simply not the times to live without airco in summer. I wish I could have my money back... Independent from the hotel accountability, the road work in front wakes you up at 6AM...
The property is modern, renovated, and clean.

There was no air conditioning and it was 29/30 degrees. It was so hot my husband was ill. I slept on the floor as it was slightly cooler there. It spoilt what is a very nice hotel.
The hotel was very clean and well laid out. Staff were friendly and the location was excellent.

There was no ac and the rooms were very hot. We had to listen to construction at all hours of the road out front. Additionally, we could hear everyone throwing their recycling away even at 2,3,4,5am.

I would like the hotel staff to recommend parking spaces that are cheaper. The one they recommend has a very expensive fee per day. I am sure there are other, more affordable options as well. There was a construction site right in front of the hotel. As a consequence, it was very difficult to ignore the noise in the morning.

The shower drains were not working but they did not do much about it. There is not much going on close to the hotel. You have to walk 20 min to get to the center or take the tram and ride for 10 min. They close the common kitchen at a certain time which means you can’t access it to fill up water,etc.
Rooms were nice and you get a nice big fridge and kettle. They changed the towels everyday.

Nothing to complain about!
The hotel is just excellent. Clean and friendly, situated next to a small park. Air condition worked well, just as the all the other facilities: shower and kitchen for self-catering. Friendly people at reception. Couldn't have been better. Tram stop in 5 mins walking distance.

A small personal suggestion: could be nice to add more vegan options.
I'm often in the city for work reasons and this hotel is by far my best experience in Vienna. The hotel staff is young, friendly and willing to help. The building and the rooms are big, bright and most of all CLEAN. The hotel is well equipped with useful common areas and the breakfast is very good, varied and inclusive (vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose intolerant options!). I will come back for sure!

It is a dorm and changed to a hotel. No Air conditioning, dusty and the floors were not cleaned. No kitchen just a small fridge

The people at the reception were very helpful and nice. They gladly answered every question we asked. We arrived at 1.30 pm And check in was at 3 pm but they checked us in early. It was a really good stay.
