How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

the mattress wasn't entirely comfortable; we missed having reading lamps next to the chairs (the main lighting was too harsh); the breakfast was good, however, I feel that you need to go with the times and have more plant-based products. .

Excellent breakfast. Room very warm but was able to modify this. Staff very helpful . Room very clean . Adequately stocked mini bar. Very helpfulwith city directions , and ordering taxi in the morning to the train station.

- the pillows were a bit flat and not the most comfortable - the pay at the property breakfast is more expensive than on booking (I tough i bough breakfast included, but booking.com shuffled the options I did not had breakfast included) - slow internet speed
- close to city center (10 min walk) - clean and spacious rooms - friendly staff - close to metro - lots of coffee places and breakfast places around (for those who do not opt if for breakfast at the hotel)

We booked last minute after an unpleasant experience at another hotel. The two were worlds apart. Hotel Nestroy was lovely, very clean and comfortable. The facilities here were great and the staff were helpful. We enjoyed cocktails in the bar area and spending time the the sauna. The centre was only 15mins walk away. We really enjoyed our time here and would stay here again if we come back to Vienna!

My luggage was delayed and the staff was very helpful and kept communication. They have a voucher option of 5Euros when you skip cleaning tonreducr the impact on the environment of washing daily. The way it is implemented can be better explained. Staff was precise, kind, professional and very helpful

Nothing. All perfect. If I'm forced to be very very picky... just the breakfast staff, constantly observing me whenever I was standing up taking a coffe from the coffe machine or food. They for sure do their work, but a more discrete way would help. But again, hotel is great and this is really a minor, minor issue.
The hotel is new/newly renovated and the entire structure is clean and well kept. The rooms are also clean and confortable with a nice clean bathroom. At my booking time the price for my room was very competitive respect other hotels. Breakfast has a big offering and it should welcome the need of most of the people. Position is also very good: it is in a quite zone at around 10 minute walk from the center. It is a pleasent walk.

The elevator was a little small. Two of us with our stuff filled it up.
The building and room were great. Clean, great location, and breakfast was available till 10:30 and had many options whether you’d like to go big or small. Coffee was good and the water tasted good too. We got an unexpected upgrade to a suite with a balcony which was a nice touch. Very easy to get to from the metro station and the neighborhood was lively, but felt very safe. Staff was friendly and available. A great start to our trip.

Very nice hotel in the centre, good public transport around the corner (train, tram and metro). I had been upgraded to a very nice and quiet room. Staff was very helpful and I would certainly come back here.

1. The clothes hanger dryer works only in winters and not otherwise and it's a necessity when travelling for a long duration so the hotel needs to do something about it. 2. Breakfast could do with a variety....it was same for the 5 days we stayed.

I tried to get coffee at the hotel bar/restaurant two times, both in the afternoon, and the receptionist told me I had to wait 15-20 min for their colleague to come serve at the bar. I gave up both times since I didn’t wanna wait, so I asked about room service and they charge an extra 4 euro fee.
The hotel is well located, close to two subway lines and tram stops, it has a bus stop right in front of the entrance. The room is not very big, but it was ok for a few nights. Everything was clean, especially the bathroom. They provided us umbrellas since it rained everyday during our stay. You can also walk to Prater (about 15 min), which was very nice.
