How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The hotel was hard to find at first - not signposted very well. The pillows were awful , I also asked for an additional pillow and they didn’t have any even though I requested it 12 months in advance
The hotel had a nice vibe to it. Great little bar to sit in. Staff were great and were very welcoming.

I had an issue with the safe, but it was soon sorted out. Water leaked from the shower stall.
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, bright room.

Rooms are not very large and bathroom is "peculiar". There were constructions in the hotel and it was a bit noisy, but nothing crazy

The hotel is currently building a roof top, therefore there are scaffoldings by the window. Rooms are small and the hotel hasn’t got a hall

There was a problem with the drain in my shower and once I'd finished, I realised water had poured out into the room itself. Having said that, the staff were lovely: when I was out for dinner, they cleared it all up and it was nice and dry by the time I got back. Aside from that, the TV didn't have any streaming services like Netflix etc, so I didn't really bother with it.
Great location, between the old town and the river. All the central attractions and touristy areas were within walking distance, and for everything else there was a metro station and tram stop only a minute away. The room was very comfortable and well decorated. The shower was lovely - one of the most amazing shower heads I've experienced and superb selection of toiletries:not only was there conditioner (which isn't a given in hotels these days), there were multiple types of shower gel to choose from! And they were all from nice big refillable pumps - rather than those fiddly little single-use plastic things.

The shower does not have to be litterally in the room. We would prefere some privacy when it cones to the bathroom. The shower had a glass wall facing the room. The pillowes were not so comfortable.
Nice old building, nice staff. The breakfast was good. The hotel is just not mote than 10 minutes walk from St Stephan’s dome. It was quiet except for the refurbishing that the staff warned us about.

The only problem was that the window was looking inwards the building facing the the other rooms or apartments...You could harrdly see the sky. But overall this is a minor.
the hotel is in the perfect location, the room was nice and clean. The breakfast is superb, the people were super nice and friendly, very helpful and relaxed. The reception even prepared for me a nice breakfast as I had to leave at 4am....!!! this is much appreciated!

The room. It was a bit small than expected but enough for 2 nights. The shower and toilet are located side by side and they share a door. Both are transparent. There is a curtain in front but if you shouldn’t expect privacy. The sink was in the middle of the room which wasn’t very practical. I send messages to hotel -via booking- 1 month and 1 week ago before our stay to see if there is any chance for an early check in but I couldn’t get any response for any of my messages.
Hotel is very close to the center, 10 mn walk distance. There is a mall (wien mitte) also walk distance (around 5 mn) from the hotel. You can easily reach subway or tram in 1-2 mn. Neighborhood is nice and safe, there are some constructions but the noise never annoyed us. The hotel offers a free drink per guest from the hotel bar and drinks are delicious. Hotel is very clean and not too crowded. It was very kind of them to keep our luggages before check in and after check out time so we could visit the city a little more.

whilst we were there the hotel was under restoration therefore a bit noisy if are in the room during working hours
