Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineI was thoroughly disappointed with my stay at this property. It felt more like a student hostel or dormitory than an actual hotel. There is no proper reception; instead, bartenders double as receptionists, which made the check-in and general assistance feel very unprofessional. While the hotel is relatively clean, the rooms are incredibly small. There was a beam right by the bed that I hit my head on multiple times. The safe in my room was not functional, and despite cleaning services, the bed linens were not changed. Another major issue is the lack of communication options. There is no phone in the room, no number to contact reception, and no way to request or ask for anything. It felt very isolating and inconvenient. Breakfast was underwhelming, to say the least. The options were extremely limited—boiled eggs were the only available eggs. When I asked if they had scrambled or fried eggs, I was told that such options were not available. For the price, I’d highly recommend having breakfast elsewhere in the city. The layout of the room was also bizarre. The sink and shower are located inside the room with no separate bathroom, which made the experience very uncomfortable. The location is far from ideal. If you’re planning to explore the city center, be prepared to take a taxi, especially during winter, as the hotel is quite far from any central attractions. To make matters worse, the hotel operates on a cashless policy, which was not disclosed during the reservation process. This caused unnecessary difficulties for me, as I was not prepared for this. Additionally, I found it highly unprofessional that the receptionists/bartenders often went to smoke on the terrace. This not only created long waiting times at the lobby as they stepped out frequently, but also allowed cold air to blow into the space. Moreover, I don’t think it’s appropriate for hotel staff to smoke in areas where guests are meant to relax and enjoy their stay. It left a very bad impression.

IrelandBed was very bad quality, too hard. Pillows were cheap quality, lumpy feeling made it difficult to get a good sleep. We asked staff for better pillows but none were available. Entrance from street was a real "downer" very poor same for entrance on 5th floor. Seemed one step above youth hostels.
Cleanliness. Great shower.

GermanyWhen we arrived the hairdryer was broken and there was no soap in the dispenser. No phone in the room to ring the front desk so had to go down to the reception. Staff gave us an extra bottle and then said we had to wait until the morning to get the hairdryer fixed. Had a couple other encounters with staff that made me and my mom feel not so welcomed. Was expecting a little more hospitality for the price but the whole hotel gives a bit of an air of faux fancy with lots of cheesy decor that is actually kind of cheap. Also the breakfast is absurdly overpriced with minimal hot options. You much better eating out at any other bakery in the city
Drinks at the bar were good. Beds were comfortable. Location was convenient for 2 night stay, getting to tourist spots.

CroatiaLast night of our stay we did not have warm water in our shower. Next morning we also did not have warm water in the shower. We were not informed about this. When we asked the staff about it they just said that something was broken and that probably they will fix it. We have not received the apology or any form of customer service response to this situation.
We liked the location of the hotel. It is close to public transportation and a walking distance to historical center.

United StatesWe stayed for 4 nights 3 days and for 2 out of those 3 days, the hotel staff didn't provide housekeeping services as requested/agreed and the 1 day that they did housekeeping, it was a poor job. The first time this happened, the receptionist (who was also one of the bartenders since this hotel doesn't have full-time receptionists) asked several times if we declined room services when checking in (we didn't) or if we hung a "do not disturb" sign outside our room (we didn't). Even if we did hang a sign, we noticed that other rooms got a message from the cleaning staff notifying them of the time of visit and reasons they didn't provide cleaning services. On our floor/room, we didn't see such a message. Still, we were sympathetic to the hotel staff's busy schedule during the holiday week. The next day, we had housekeeping service but it was barely minimum: the trash was taken out, towels were changed, but the room was still very dirty, especially near the bathroom area (which has no door, so inevitably water got quite messy on the floor when we showered). The third day, we came back to yet another uncleaned room after a long day trip. At this point, we were very frustrated but the reception staff wasn't able to do anything about it since their cleaning staff has left for the day. They offered to move us to another room but it was on a different floor which was very inconvenient for us. Overall, it was a very poor experience for the price we paid. The hotel was not much more than a cool/hip hostel and wasn't professional in hospitality services.
Close to public transportation such as tram and U/S trains. Good food options nearby.
