How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The kitchen is tiny, but it works. Unfortunately, the rooms got a bit hot, with the lack of air conditioning, although a fan was provided.
The property owner is incredibly gracious, she made me feel welcome right away, and the check-in process was smooth! This place is chock full of nice little touches: a free bin to donate unwanted items/food, spacious beds with a privacy curtain, shelving plus a space to store your things right next to the bed, roomy showers and bathrooms, and a location convenient to the metro lines. It's very clean. A great place to stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at 7brunnen Hostel ! It really felt like a familial hostel, the people I’ve met were all very nice ! - Self Check-in was very easy - You can use the luggage room before check-in and after check-out which was perfect to me - Beds are the right size and the curtains are really nice to have your own privacy - The lockers are in the rooms and there’s already a padlock on it - The staff is very responsive if you need anything or have any question - Not that far from city center, I was able to do everything by foot - I found that there were enough sanitary facilities for the number of people staying there I would recommend to stay here

we stayed in the double room. it was clean and comfortable. there were kitchen appliances available for us to use although we only stayed for a night and didn’t need to use much. the bathroom and toilets were clean. it was quiet and friendly in the apartment.

Beds with the curtains were really nice, offering a bit of privacy. The beds were also very spacious which was nice.

It was difficult to keep night silence with all the noises the doors and equipment made. No place to hang for clothes and be prepared for city life noises from outside
Availability at last minute, interesting guests and building with history, bathrooms with windows. Crazily minimalistic design.

Cleanliness can still be improved a bit. Update of the bathrooms can also be considered.
On my 3 week trip, I've been to many different hostels and I can say this: This hostel ranks as one of the best in the entire tally. Okay, it's maybe no Ruthenstein, but it certainly doesn't disappoint. It easily beats the more commercial ones like St. Christopher's Inn, even though it's a tad more expensive. Everything was relatively clean, there were washing machines and the check-in was super smooth. There's quite a big kitchen and you can just tell that this hostel attracts a lot of nice people. There was for instance a basket with free stuff others left behind, everyone washes their cutlery, there are many washrooms and showers, you have a fridge available and so on. There was even tea and coffee to drink for free! Beds were super super comfy! Also, there is a locker available for everyone to use WITH a lock! (Even though I had my lock with me) In conclusion, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good stay in Vienna, even for longer journeys.

The staff was very nice. You have a lot of privacy because every bed has a curtain. There are also lockers that you can use. It was one of the best hostels I have ever been to.

The bathroom was a bit dated and could use an upgrade but was clean nevertheless.
The beds in the room were quite comfortable and they also had curtains which gave the occupant some privacy. There were also two fans in the room which were helpful as it was quite hot that day. The self check-in was quite convenient.

1. Wi-fi disappeared time to time 2. There is no air conditioner in the room 3. Living room and kitchen are connected to one place. And toilets are located in this area as well so people just going around and while you're eating somebody is splushing a toilet next to you :D not a big deal but you can't just lay on the sofa and relax
1. It's a very clean place 2. Kitchen is tiny but well equipped and you can cook. There is a stove, microwave oven and fridge. Also you will find some condiments, tee, coffee, dry creamer, oil and a box with the food other guests left which is great. I took some bread and oatmeal and thank to those who left them 😁 3. You can make your laundry for 2€. There is an iron as well 4. Beds are huge and comfortable. Curtains give you a privacy 5. Location is good. Supermarkets, bakeries and bus stops nearby 6. I arrived at 9 am and the host Pauline kindly allowed me to leave my begs. Thanks a lot!

we walked to all the main attractions/sights/food/everything in Wien. great location great price and the lady who runs the hostel is lovely and very accommodating - she provided locks and for us to store our luggage until the night bus that evening plus there's shampoos and body wash in all the bathrooms - so kind :) would 100% stay here again!

There could be mirrors in the rooms but it’s just a minor suggestion.
It was safe, clean, quiet and comfortable to stay in and to get too. The communication was very easy and efficient. It was value for money.

The staff was nowhere to be found at most times. The beds are quite squeaky. The hostel is quite far from the centre.
The rooms are unlocked by code - very convenient. The beds are separated from each other and very big.

Nice location, very clean. Close to tramway and supermarkets. Helpful host when needed. Would definitely recommend the place and come back if needed. Fair price.
